indoor Homemade Growing Tent

Hey everyone! I’m new here and I’m excited to learn tons as I head into my first growing season. I tended to some pre-grown habanero and reaper plants from the hardware store this year and caught the growing bug to grow from seed next year!

So far I plan to grow:

Jays Ghost Peach x Primo
Scotch Bonnet
Tam Jalapeño
Shishito
Pepperoncini
Aji Santa Cruz
Habanado
Habanero
Bell pepper

I finished building my grow tent and am hoping to get an early start since I’m in the very harsh, cold Canadian prairies (zone 3a). It is a 6’x4’x2’ frame using 2x2s and I covered it with reflective styrofoam sheets, and it’s held together by Velcro haha. Would love to hear any advice for using a grow tent and starting seeds in general. I’m considering adding a fan at the bottom to bring air in, as well as a fan at the top to cycle air out (would like to grow at least one plant all the way to fruiting stage in the tent). Let me know your thoughts!

Looking good to go!

I've currently got four plants fruiting in a similar sized space under a 1000w equivalent led lamp. I was mis-sold some seeds so planted them later than they should of been popped, started indoors moved outside and then had to bring them back in as the frost threatened and no pods were showing.

Got about 5 months or so here until they can go back out so hoping to get some ripe pods and then over winter them while getting a head start on next years assault.

I look forward to following your progress.
