New Here!

Hello all! I love spicy food/peppers and have never grown my own so I decided to start learning as much as I can about hot pepper growing and hope to learn a lot from you all and join the "fun". I am in Colorado so I definitely welcome any suggestions/recommendations that would help me be as successful right from the start.

Thank you all! Super excited to have found this forum. Now I am just wishing I found it a little sooner so I could have gotten in on the fun from the beginning of the season this year. LOL

Thank you for responding and I am definitely excited as well. I am thinking I need to get my soil right first. LOL
Soil is definitely an important part. Though i would start looking at what you need to get seeds to germinate. Without a decent setup you are likely to have some trouble germinating and taking care of the seedlings, with risk of discouragement. Lot's to read about this topic on the forum.

best of luck.

Thank you for the reply and I have definitely been reading up and watching a ton of videos as I prepare to get started. I do plan to get a grow light or two, a couple heat mats and of course some trays and pots and things so I can hit the ground running right from the start. Hopefully!! LOL

Welcome to the forum-new myself. I use Happy Frog soil that can be found on Amazon. I had pepper plants that a guy at work gave me, but the soil had lots of bugs in it. I had to get those sticky traps as the little gnats were getting out of hand. Now I use Happy Frog when I move the plants into bigger pots. If I see bugs now I have Neem oil to help.
