Thank you so much. Mom who is 88 years old fell at her house and my older brother found her 3 hours later and called 9-1-1. Nothing broken but a UTI again. She will then go from hospital to a rehab facility for 2 weeks. Thank goodness its 5 minutes away from where she lives. Mom waters my flowers and now have gotten my younger brother to do the same. I will go to Moms house tomorrow as I live maybe 6 miles from her.
I hope you don't mind my input, but if possible, make sure someone visits her every day, and randomize the time as much as possible so they don't know when someone will show up. Some of the rehab facilities in this state are way understaffed and patients sometimes aren't moved often enough, cared for properly, they develop bedsores, etc. If the staff thinks that someone will be checking in often, they will get the priority.
I never mind the input. Myself and 2 brothers visit here throughout the day-myself- before and after work, my older brother during the day and younger brother at night. It is hard on my younger brother as he lives with her, but was at work when this happened. She will go to rehab tomorrow 5 minutes from my apartment and 5 minutes from her house. They say 2 weeks maybe at 1 1/2 hours walking time each day.
I went to see the plant today and I put my Habanero plant along side it as it was being hardened in the garage. I have maybe 6 peppers starting to form on the Aji Dulce The petals from the flower shrivel around it and I can see the pepper forming as I look at it with a magnifier.
My Mom transferred to a rehab facility on Monday and she has PT everyday so she can get her leg strength back. The place is 5 minutes from my apartment, and not far from her house. My brothers get to see her everyday. I see her every other day as my work is super busy at times.
Aji Dulce is used to make Sofrito a Caribbean seasoning. You can make Sofrito with other sweet peppers but a traditional Sofrito will always include Aji Dulce which isn't readily available everywhere.
What color will these peppers become? How long before they can be picked? Do they grow big? Trying to find out more about these.

Depends on which strain of Aji Dulce, but most of the ones I've seen will ripen to red. Give it time! Be patient and let it grow, and only harvest when it reaches full color. Also, I noticed some yellowing on the bottom leaves, which is a sign that it's hungry for a little nitrogen. Invest in some fish emulsion if you haven't already, it'll give a gentle boost of nitrogen without creating a big leafy pepperless bush! Most Home Depots carry Alaska fish fertilizer, which is a fish emulsion that many people use.
I have Neptune's Harvest organic liquid fertilizer at my apartment. Would that work?
