World's Hottest habanero? What is this?

Seen a couple other posts similar to mine here lately but one plant I have is a Bonnie plant from Lowes and was labeled "world's Hottest" habanero, I didn't take a picture of the plant but will do so but here is an almost ripe pod I pulled, what is this, I don't think it is a habanero?

Well, I was at Home Depot today and remembered this thread. Looked in the garden section and sure enough, habanero and worlds hottest habanero. I picked one up. Curious to see if those not-habs made it out to California. Worst case scenario, I have an orange hab plant.

I picked that damn pepper off of that plant. It was about 2 inches in length, and had turned completely lemon yellow. The inside was SUPER oily, with only about 15 seeds. The flavor was earthy, and the heat wasnt bad at first. About 5 seconds in, my face exploded into flames. I managed to hang on and be ok until I realized I had to take a leak. I DID scrub my hands first, but I ended up in the shower crying with a crotch full of sour cream. I dont think this was a habanero. FML.

**edit** the flash on my phone made the pepper look green, but it is indeed lemon yellow.

No, I cut a small bit to test with. Maybe a 1/4" by 1/2" strip. Still curious wtf this thing is.

The ensuing shenanigans after pee'ing was the most horrendous thing I have ever experienced by the way.

I don't know ? In the last two days it has just turned a darker brown. There is an older, larger pod on the lowest node of the plant that is just beginning to turn the same color. I think we have a way to go until they are fully ripe because they are all hard as bricks.

I also have the same deal right now. I know there may not be a way of completely verifying what exactly it is - but mine are very orange pods and man they are hot as fire ! I also would like to know if mine are fatalli or bhut. Any way to tell the difference in those two ?

I ended up with this from a Bonnie World Hottest Habanero.

So did I. Bought 3 of these from lowes this year, labeled 'world's hottest habanero' with a pic of a regular orange hab on the tag.

There were a couple of people posting on Bonnie's website and the company replied that they do not sell ghost peppers and it must be a hab. I don't think so. Not that I'm complaining :)

Here's mine. I have 3 plants. Each different pod on each plant. Although each plant is consistent with the shape

The one on the left is a cross "Caribbean red" it's starting to change to orange/red

My bonnie "worlds hottest" turned out to be a red Savina. Just ate one cause I thought it was just a red hab and got a bit of a surprise lol. I'm not complaining I mean to be fair it is the worlds hottest habanero so I can safely say they are advertising incorrectly.
