Sorry errybody! Been MIA for a bit.

RM thanks for the kudos my friend! Finishing that 100 was a lot of determination and quite a bit of just plain stupid, signing up again...100% stupid! I had fun writing that story...really crazy what detail I remember most of it with! Its an experience I recommend at least witnessing once, or maybe work an aid station.

Alla...I've hit them with aspirin a few times, and it seems to help a bit, but nothing I've tried fixes it. They're due for another dose, so maybe I can hit them this weekend.

Thanks Denniz...went to visit her this week. She's much better.

Thank you Doc, Pia, Melissa and RTF!!!

Andy, been having a rough time getting internet time myself! I tried teaching 3 more hornworms to fly...no luck yet!!!

Dave, I have my suspicions about the source of the virus. I can't confirm it though, so I don't wanna cast any stones. The seeds I suspect were some I purchased. The brunt of it falls on me, I have never had such a widespread disease issue, so I didn't see the urgency in getting rid of the few sick ones I had in the beginning. I should have been quicker to toss them. I like the idea of the slow painful hornworm death, but I really don't care if its slow or not. Dead is all that matters! I know I have a bunch more out there. They really seem to love the Manzano plants, but I have also found them on my 7 Pots. The brown/black pods are going mainly into the steak/bbq sauces I am going to experiment with. Have fun on liberty tonight!

Paul my friend...training has me leaving most of the superhots in the freezer. So other than the Naga and Fataliis I talked about, I haven't been eating too many supers. I have been eating some white habs and wild brazils though!

Well, didn't get home in time to pull all the pods I need to pull, but I got a few...

Aight Dave...if you read this can you tell me exactly which of your pods most closely match these...I am almost certain they are yellow 7's but Cardi Scorps were mentioned too.

Hard to tell in the shot, but this is the largest harvest so far, and I didn't even get to finish before dark. Got a super busy weekend. Concert with the whole fam tomorrow night. Padres game on Saturday and maybe a "Hash run" on Sunday. Gonna try to get caught up on all you guys stuff tomorrow afternoon before we leave for the concert...I hope!

Weekend is almost here folks!!!
Shane

Awesome harvest your going to need to pull out the big table and another freezer soon, but it good to hear from yea. Dude it ok to be a Dodger fan I welcome you and invite you to wear the great Dodger blue colors. I keep looking at your harvest trying to name every single variety lol. If I had to pick I would say Cardi scorps they have the smother texture which I am not getting from my yellow 7 at all, but I think common with the cardi scorp. Glad to hear from you I guess with that extreme pass a bump is not required :mope: . Sounds like a great weekend hope everything goes well.

More of a Ranger or Astros fan to be honest...but the tickets were free! I don't mind the Padres or Dodgers either. Not a huge baseball fan, I think they're a bunch of spoiled prima donnas but I enjoy the game. Those pods are bumpier than they appear, but my flash washes out the texture of the pods. The same on the brains. I hope I can snap some more pics later, but I am crazy busy right now. More drama at work, training for this run and finding time with the fam is a challenge. the plants are on the back burner but they're taking pretty good care of themselves. With the slightly cooler temps they're all starting to load up for round 2. Someone asked how many of the plants had been hit by the virus earlier and the answer to that is almost all of them. Won't be long and the few hold outs will come down with it too. It kills a few, makes a few real sick and for some they're just ugly and still trucking along...

That is one sweet ass Harvest bro!

You seem to be unfazed by the virus. Or should I say your peppers.

Have a great weekend and keep slamming that freezer full :fireball:

[background=rgb(255, 244, 228)]Sheesh! I was all excited about the size of my harvest today, until I saw yours! Seriously, it is hard to believe your plants are battling a nasty virus over there, and still crankin' out that many pods. Very impressive! [/background]

Dito the comments on your bountiful harvest there!
Eventually I will have one of each of those peppers in seeds to grow into my own backyard forest!

Thanks for the Pod Porn!
Mark

Dammit Shane, my plants are all pretty healthy and my harvests never look like that! Awesome, just freakin' awesome! sounds like you have a full weekend ahead, should be a great time for all. Keep up the great work. I pm'd you about the powder (finally, I know sorry). Well have a great weekend!

Another big pull today...gonna be a busy couple weeks. I am out of town all week, then a weekend in Vegas for a wedding. So I dunno what I am going to do about harvests??? I suppose they'll sink or swim 'till I get back. I smoked 1 gallon freezer bag each of Red 7 and Brain Strain pods today and got them into the dehydrator...still have a TON left to get done.

Still great #'s I just pulled a bunch Friday...and now today. I still have a bunch out there almost ready so I will be in business for a bit! I gave them all a dose of aspirin yesterday so hope that perks them up a bit...many more pics here:

I included some of the sick plants in there, but didn't wanna post any of those here.

Thanks for stopping by! Now off to check in on your pages!

Holy sheep shit Shane. You need to clone yourself right away. Or buy a giant freezer either will work. That is one kick ass harvest!!!!

Oh and I agree JJ should do all my videos. You can understand him and  he is much more into it

Wow dude, it took a little while catching up, but this point in the season makes it freaking impossible to go through all the logs at the same pace as before the harvest started. I gotta tell you, damn bro, ain't nothin holdin you down!

I can relate to your breakneck living brother. I can't relate to that positive attitude though. It's tough when you have scramble around in your free time. A weekend in Vegas is enough time there. I've taken the redeye out of McCarran more times than I'd like to admit. That place is hard on the organs, retirement, and psyche!!

Shane, your living at pod central there bro. Ya know there must be a way to incorporate some of those burners into an Energy bar. Just imagine the kick you could get from that during a nice long run. Of course there could be hell to pay at the end with second burn :)

Shane! Holy WOW. You are pulling in an incredible amount of pods! Glad you got to taste the fatalii! I totally agree with you on the flaming dirt taste of some of the chocolates.

Man, it's a good thing you run those crazy marathons because otherwise you would be huge with all that good cooking! Oh, and your wife is :hot:
Wait, did I just type that out loud?

Keep it up man. Looks like you do everything to the extreme!

Sorry for the lul in the action! I've been crazy busy...Had a small harvest pre-Vegas and a nice one post Vegas this weekend! I don't have time for the individual photos right now, but here is the album...
