My overwintered bell pepper seems to be showing a mix of nutrient deficiency and variegation. It’s now in the ground in good compost so I’ll be watching what kind of new growth it puts out. Was pure green last year.

The 12 seeds I planted from the all green plant have all sprouted and are all green - confirms that the variegation is recessive, I think. I have a number of seeds now from the light/dark green plants that I just planted, so fingers crossed! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

First pepper harvested today from a non-variegated jalapeño. Seeds are saved to grow out to see if there’s any variegation in the offspring. As a bonus, it’s a tasty jalapeño! Sweet and milder heat. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

First jalapeño has flowered (a bouquet!). 53 days since seed was planted. No variegation on this one, but going to grow it out given how quickly it’s grown.
