I’m in Texas and I have noticed cucumber beetles. It’s been rainy and windy. Different environment though.

I think all is going well. It’s been windy and rainy since I put them outside. They seem stalled but getting new growth in. A few bugs and ants.

Once a plant reaches maturity and flowers will it continue to grow bigger. I know it will focus on fruits but if I pick them will the plant still grow bigger. If I overwinter a plant and let it go dormant will it grow bigger next season? Any other tips. I grew them in doors and started too...

I would just want to be able to grab seeds grow a plant then take the seeds from the new plant self pollinated and have the same next year. I don’t like that some sellers will show you a picture of a pod, then say you get what you get. Because it was an f2 or f3. It’s not about the money but...

Interesting. At what point could you use the seeds and expect great results the next gen? So if it’s f1 reaper it would be the first cross with ghost and habanero? a stable hybrid would be f8 or better? It you self pollinate does it add to the lineage? I guess sellers are selling whatever they...

I’m have great germination rates and pods are true. I do see them advertised as heirloom but I have not kept up with them.

I had problems getting reaper to germinate and grow. I do have a few going but they are doing ok. Maybe 30% germinate and get going (healthy). I have others like 7 pots and scorpions that are doing way better and the exact same environment. I thought by now all the reaper seeds would be stable...

Made potting mix. 1/2 peat moss. 1/4 top soil, 1/4 cow compost. Bone meal and perlite. Has been outside and no frost but dipping into 40’s. From pic any suggestions. Thanks. It’s reaper.

That makes sense. It was super windy so I kept the door shut for 2 days. So, all the above what you mentioned. I do not have a grow light in the garage. The plants went from grow light to hardening off to no light for 2 days, then back to 1/2 day of full sun.

Getting these ready to go outside. I left out in the garage for a few hours? Is this sunburn or needs nitrogen?

I didn’t have good success with reaper this year. I do have 3 going good. I ordered seeds from 3 different places all the same results.
