All I can say is that those damages look identical to what chili thrips did to my plants. Not saying you got thrips, but insects definately do that kind of damage.

I restarted my indoor chilli "farm" becuse of thrips in the middle of June. The 7 plants are now in 1 gal pots, and are 10-20" tall, Jalapeño being the smallest and Naga Morich the tallest. They are still growing well, and I hope to have the plants 2-3' tall.

Seems like you win the northernmost prize, since I had to slaughter down all my plants, including the competition fatalii :( Took the easy way out on the thrips, and restarted it all with fewer but larger plants.

I think that this would be a product that is commonly sold in all countries with hard water, since it's used to clean off calcium deposits. That is all european countries except Norway and Sweden. I guess we are the exceptions here :)
