I ordered seeds from William too and received the seeds today in fine condition.

On of my first crosses - Naga Morich x Pequin de Ischia - it is called Nagaquin and is F9. It is very early and has some Naga-aroma and dires out easily on the plant. A great improvement for my climate, where growing the chinense species is impossible out in the open and may still be challenging...

A small update - later varieties are starting to ripen (those with most chinese genetics and flavors) First is my favourite: "Piribibi Purple Umbrella" F7 which was initially a cross between Aribibi Gusano and Pimenta Morango. It seems stabile, the last 3-4 years I have grown out 5-10 plants...

Thanks for the kind comments in general. ;)   Thanks saiias - taste is resembling Naga Morich a bit, not so aromatic but maybe sweeter at the same time. Heat is around 10 or maybe 10+. I have selected for that aroma in many of my initial crosses during the years, since it is difficult to grow...

The Goat's Weed x Orange Thai does have a nice amount of pubescens. It is a very difficult gene to stabilize, since it is not simply a matter of yes/no (does it have pubescens or not) - but it is a quantitative trait, i.e. more a matter of how much. So out a lot of plants in the F2-generation...

Thanks. I prefer the cluster variety, it is quite sweet and very aromatic, heat is around 8/9 I would guess...   Thank you... I only grow one generation per season, not a big fan of artificial lighting. Yes, your climate is better suited to growing peppers, have you grown chinense varieties...

Finally, I have something to show. :party:  I am working mostly on my crosses, top priority has been developing cold hardier varieties, since I am not able to grow chinense plants at all outside due to low temperatures. This summer has been historically cold, we only had 1 so-called "summer day"...

So how was the Ecuadorian Sweet? I grew 6 plants 2015, none of them was sweet or low-heat...
