  • The reason I haven't bought an amerikan car in 35 years. 2012 Fiesta (Ford) in the shop for a $$3k hybrid clutch replacement. Exactly 4k miles out of warranty. Compared to my 1993 Toyota PU ---just got it's first clutch replacement @ 340k miles.

Was trying to be patriotic by rewarding ford for not taking a government check to move to Brazil or elsewhere. Just goes to show. 60k mile power train warranty, failed @ 64k.

there is a philosophy that car makere use called PLANNED OBSOLESCENCE they know just how long something will last and the adjust there warrentees accordingly gotta love it!!!
Dissapointed. Stopped by my favorite bar yesterday, and was asked to bring some superhots to the halloween party tonight. Stuffed a bunch of Scotch Bonnets, Choco Scorpions, and TSMB's with cream cheese and bacon. Was asked to remove the last 2 after 1 person complained "too hot" on a choco scorp at tonight's party. All had warning notices and exactly how hot they were in understandable english. Bonus---I have a bunch of stuffed peppers to eat.

goes along with the idiot factor the people feel they have to "man up" and when they figure out their level of hot was not very high, its your fault

Warning signs were 5x7. The bartender (a chilehead)who requested the peppers had a medical emergency, so wasn't there. Not a total wash though. Only 1 stuffed SB was left to bring home. There is hope I made a few converts.
Freezer allotment full, little vials of powders and flakes filled up, a full dehydrator drying about 1/3 of the last box, and my yearly supply of pepper salt processed. I must try to resist aquiring more pods.
Wife went to work. Found her boss dead. Gonna be a long week. She was his only employee and managed all his affairs. The vultures will soon be arriving.

Let the vultures fight amongst themselves, just see that your wife is okay. That had to have been a terrible experience for her.

Worse, after hearing the story first hand after I arrived. Wasn't dead yet. She got to see him off while the emt's were working on him.
Worse yet, spent all day with the vultures, as she is one of the pair of executors of his estate and trusts.
Spent the night at his place with her last night to discourage pilfering.
Doghouse.....Finished up a dehydrator full of TSM and Choco scorps and emptied it out so the other half could dry a bunch of pears. Informed her prolly a really good idea to run the trays through the dishwasher first. She loaded them up in the washer, then rubbed her eye. .

    Nice! Congrats.
Off to Vegas for a couple days--no----shopping and a movie or 2 and some good food. So, not ignoring anyone, just incommunicado.
DOJ Folds. Finally understood they had a losing hand. Smoke if ya got em.

Intresting, sure. But fun??? Not for a bit. Anticipating checkpoints on the roads between states---like the agricultural checkpoints on the borders of California.
Quick Lunch. Pound of hamburger, a small Bhut, White Bullet Hab, Thai Dragon, and some white onion sauteed together layered . Nacho Cheese Doritos, Burger peppers mix, Kraft mexican cheese mix---doritos cool ranch, burger pepper mix, cheese mix. Topped with sliced olives, sour cream and guac on the side. Drool if you wish.

Hehehe. If I were to post every strange pepper concoction I came up with on the spur of the moment-------. But seriously, no white habs next time-flavor doesn't match up, unless maybe roasted next time?
A 1/2 reaper,1/2 BS1/2 ,Primo and small Hab came out to play with the Fajita family last night. I ate them all. MUAHAHAHAHAHA
Somebody eating holes in some thin skinned pods, important tip: Don't use fingernails to open pods in search of bugs.
Mmmmm. Reapers with cream cheese, spinach dip and chicken livers on crackers. The cheese and dip mitigate the burn and allow the flavor to last longer.
Ghetto isolating today--Reaper,Jonah,Douglah,Funky Cross,Barackpore, Primo. Baby pods popping, Primo looks EVIL.
Gusts of 100 mph in "sandpocalypse". Peppers---ho hum, another breezy day in Nevada.
First taste of a Reaper last night. Yup, it's hot.

Tossup. Got a little piece of Fatali "Gourmet Jigsaw" in my seed pack. Tongue went numb before the burn leaked through.(Jigsaw)
If you just eat the stinger,(Reaper) it really does have a nice fruity flavor.Once you get a piece of the innards though----look out. Only ate about 1/8 pod, and the first pepper to hit my queasy spot after about 3 minutes.
Damn. Had to do it. Bought some Jigsaw and Black Naga seeds. Pricey, but desired.
Off to Vegas. No, not what you think. Dinner movie shopping and car repairs. You know you are in the middle of nowhere when you drive 500 miles round trip to vegas just for shopping and "normal" entertainment.
That unknown Bolivian Rainbow cross finally fully ripened a pod. I let it go to wrinkle for seed. Carrot orange, and tastes like it looks---a hot carrot. Must have some serious carotene content. A few seeds I know are true, as it was the only plant in flower for a few hundred miles. Hope it breeds true, but will be taking some clones later on..
Fajitas with Douglah powder. Yum. But getting tired of powders, can't wait for fresh heat. White Bhut, Thai Dragon, and "Unknown Cross" have pods, so not much longer.
