if it's your personal preference, you can do so. those who do are trying to "force" the plant to focus its resources to growing limbs and roots versus nurturing the flowers and fruiting. but you can also just let nature take its course. often, many early buds/flowers will naturally drop...

i grew aji cito in 2023 and 2024. it does become a large plant, and with many pods in clusters. i was also only growing it to achieve all five major species, and chose it because it was reputed the hottest baccatum. flavour was mundane, tastes fine but nothing special. my planned use for it...

who's got buds coming? i really need to up-pot this weekend. still a month (typically) until i can plant outside, although it's been quite warm here i should check what the experts are saying about last frost.

what happened to the growing threads that were formerly stickied (guide to starting seeds, fermenting 101, etc)? are they just unstuck and buried somewhere deep down the list? is someone working on making a "true how-to guide" out of them instead of being live threads? just curious
