It looks like rounds 3 through 5 are right on your heels. Hopefully nothing violent comes of it.

Long night, I bet. Luckily, we just got rain and lightning here. Glad to hear you didn't get hit too hard.
Just came inside from watching the lightning show. Looked at the radar and it turns out the storms are 150 miles away! Heat lightning is cool!
It feels so good to have dirt under my fingernails again!

You sure that is dirt? ;) Gotta love gettin' all grubby in the garden followed by the glorious cool shower afterwards.

That's what I said and then I realized it wasn't dirt. And then I realize I was in a padded room. How did I get this computer?
Every time I look at the weather forecast I wish I had just planted peas instead of starting all these stupid pepper plants...

    Peppers taste better. It's a no-brainer.

Peppers are hotter and more beneficial, that's a no-brainer as well.
I tried pyrethrin. I tried neem oil. I tried peppermint oil. I tried insecticidal soap. Tomorrow I'm going to shoot some aphids in the face with a bazooka.
Lookin' forward to being woken up by thunderstorms this morning. Seriously. Call me weird, but that's one of my favorite things!

yeah i love thunderstorms, brings water for plants too =]
I just found a nest of cottontails in one of my raised beds. It looks like I'll be planting that one a little late this year, since I don't have the heart to post an eviction notice.

I get a lot of bunnies in my yard too and don't have the heart to bother them. Our cats on the other hand have absolutely no problem getting rid of them one after another.

We get rabbits, squirrels, and chipmunks all the time. Unfortunately, skunks, too. None of them have bothered my pepper plants. The only critter that did only tried it once - evidence of teeth scraping down the side of a pod is how I knew. He never tried again…..

I tried to get a pic a minute ago. Didn't work. I'm not a photographer, I'm just some guy with bunnies in his garden. I was able to see 3-4 of the little furballs curled up in there though. Definition of cuteness...
Dig. Add compost. Fork. Add more compost. Replace soil. Fork again. Protein shake. And now, the most important step. BEER!
