    JJJ Glog 2022 Preview

Whew! Hot out there. Only 80 but I'm not acclimated yet I suppose. Forecast is for some 90's over the weekend giving way to 70's and rain next week with warm nights. I'm mostly finished getting peppers in the ground. The sweet bed (mostly) finished yesterday 18-Carmen F1 4-Jimmy Nardello 3-...

    Variegated Jalapeno Grow Log

Hey Paul, I collected some your your Mattapeno seed from the last train and they exhibited white very early. Also it's entirely likely I've mis-seeded, but what I labeled as your Giant Jalas exhibited white, so if there is a chance of a cross, be on the look-out.

Where does the time go? I've been in hand-to-hand combat with aphids for at least a month. The peppers have been moved outside to harden, though we are still dipping into the 40s. The wind and ladybugs seem to have the turned the tide, though every pepper I have deserves a purple heart. None...

Growyourown 2022: TURNING IT WAY UP

Real nice looking grow you have going, GYO. I topped some of my far-too-early seedlings mainly because of shelf height. It does slow them down a tad as they shift energy into pushing new side shoots, but that's kind of what I was looking for.

The last wave, the Annum Class of 2022 is well popped at 11 days. Shot a few blanks, but overall pretty good germ rate. Most of the fails were old seed I was giving one last chance. I'll have to push something out the door to make room for this and some eggplants that are ready to up-pot. As...

    Downriver 2022 - Garden Adventures

Same weather over here cross the mountain. Wind has been brutal as usual too. Almost got a pot of onion seedling I forgot and left out. Weather looks decent on the 14-day forcast. I haven't drop a tomato seed yet. Bean-wise, I'm giving Trail of Tears, and maybe Contenders another try. Have fun...

    Hi everyone

They are can be resilient but, most don't transplant that young. Only time will time. Not to much bright light until they show improvment. Good Luck. We all lose a few. j

If MoA are up there for you (as they are for me), you should check-out Papa Dreadie Scotch Bonnets. Slightly less heat, slightly more citrus. There's a memorial thread active. Check it out.

    Sulsa's 2022 grow log

Looks tasty. Do you use about the same recipe every year? I'd never heard of lavameel. Sounds like good stuff. I'd like like to try that on a hanging tomato variety I've tilted with for years that comes from Mt Vesuvius. It has never performed properly for me. I've always suspected it needed...

    Sulsa's 2022 grow log

Right there with you. Except I maybe more like 5 1/2 weeks if the weather is good. I guess I just pampered them with things like warmth, water, nutrients, and other frills. So I'm marking my 2023 Chinense calendar for sow on 3/9/23 That sounds ridiculously late. Maybe a little earlier...
