Was talking to my dad about it and he was snooping online and saw that you can order from Ace. Well thats like $39 for a bale and $99 shipping lol. So he went to the local Ace store and inquired.
Well he calls me today and tells me I am the proud new owner of a bale for only $32 :D
Finally back to low and mid 90s with some cloud cover occasionally and rain the last two evenings. My plants seem to be hitting a grow spurt, though I lost two chocolate hab seedlings, for a grand total of 3 this year. Everything else looks great although I still have a poblano that has yet to...
I swore I wasn't going to try all kinds of really hot ones next year but I WANT ONE. I'm a sucker for those yellow pods. Might I beg a seed or two off of you? Lol
I agree as well. I would like to know more about the yellow bhut's origins. I don't care what it is, I think it's one of the more beautiful chiles I've seen. I think it should become standard practice to include a pedigree with these new varieties though. Yes I'd like to know how true some of...
oooops Oryx too....but whos counting? and Aoudad....but Ibex, Oryx, and Aoudad dont really count....ok way off topic sorry.....
To contribute to this thread again....my "red chile" doesnt seem affected by the heat, nor does the cayennes....only the Poblanos...the jalapenos are producing, slower...
haha yeah I know it. Not well but I know it. Been from Clovis to Amarillo a time or three and from Clovis to Lubbock several times. Wife used to teach in Bovina, and lived in Amarillo a few years while still married to her ex husband. She grew up in Clovis and didn't leave until 2008. So me...
I couldnt imagine driving down through Hereford or Bovina if you guys had any kind of humidity. That black cloud that looms over the stock yards would be like a manure and amonia paste hanging in the air. Ive been out your way when you guys have 100-105F......Id rather be there with 100-105 than...
haha yeah my grass is crunchy and is starting to break off where you walk.......havent mowed in 3 weeks, going on 4 weeks! Cracks me up because the neighbor across the street is one of those lawn freaks that picks up (litterally!) every leaf that falls off of his bradford pear tree in the front...
I call BS! I know for a fact you guys got the same 3 day break we did about a week ago!...was quite nice and allowed about 4 whole pods to set before dropping resumed lol.....other than that, I can attest to the +95 for 3 weeks minus the three day break we got and less than 1" of rain.
Not sure if it is normal or not but maybe a spot of food poisoning? Did you wash the pepper before consuming? I had a mild salmonella case this year (injested raw chicken) and I took 5 imodium and it didn't slow me down at all. Worst cramps and pain Id ever had and rearend was sore from whiping...
EDIT: I do give them the same treatment as the rest of my peppers, but I just like to ensure I have 1 or 2 good healthy super hots of each variety and a large quantity of the more useful New Mexico/Anaheim and jalapenos.
