SETHSQUATCH GROW BIG LOG WITH puny hammer

Looks like your season panned out excellently! That's a killer harvest and your plants are amazingly massive and healthy! How many poblano plants did you have to be able to pull that many at once?

    Pulpiteer's grow log 2012

Nice pictures Andy, the 'pepper jungle' shot is real cool! Looks like you're getting quite a few fatalii now. Going to make a sauce with them?

    Strange Shaped Pepper

Glad to hear that, it would have been awful to have 5 or 6 months worth of dedication ruined by mother nature! A few days before that we had a hailstorm that knocked a few branches and pods off, so I erred on the side of caution and moved the 63 potted plants I have underneath big evergreen...

    Strange Shaped Pepper

That's a real cool looking pod. Any of the others on the plant showing a similar shape? And by the way, did all of your plants survive the tornado/thunderstorms out your way last week?

    PIC 1's......Pod Pornage.............2012

I love the style of those pepper 'mugshots!' The douglah cross is almost Nick Nolte wild. How is that kitchen pepper in terms of flavor and heat?

    mjdiamond83's 2012 Grow Log

I'm going to try and focus more on the varieties that I really enjoy next year, instead of growing out something like 43 varieties. Narrowing it down will be real hard though. I really like the way trinidad scorpions look, but they're not my favorite for taste, and I love the flavor of bhuts...

    mjdiamond83's 2012 Grow Log

I'll take a better pic tomorrow. They definitely have attributes of both varieties. They have that purplish 'blush' to them like the cajamarca, but they're green and not pale, more like immature bhuts. They have some bumpiness to them too (albeit not to the degree of a pure chocolate bhut).

    mjdiamond83's 2012 Grow Log

Hey Charles, It definitely looks similar to that SB7J, but I only had 3 seeds germinate and one died off early. It's a pretty cool looking pod though! You should see that Chocolate Bhut x Cajamarca. Its absolutely teeming with pods; They should start ripening any day now; I feel like its been...

    mjdiamond83's 2012 Grow Log

Hey Shane, that yellow 7 was huge! I'm ready for the ripening to become a lot more frequent. I'm really anxious for the bonda ma jacques to start ripening; I've heard great things about them. Hey Greg, That mystery pepper is easily my largest, healthiest and most productive of the potted...

    mjdiamond83's 2012 Grow Log

Hey Paul! Are your Inca Red Drops from Wayright's seed stock too? Mine only get 1" long, but they're one of my favorite peppers. The flavor is great, and the heat is just right without being overwhelming. I'm going to use some green ones for a pepper sauce (whole pods in vinegar style). The...

    mjdiamond83's 2012 Grow Log

Thanks for stopping by Andy! That mystery pepper is definitely a chinense, but that's as far as I can narrow it down. A lot of the larger pods have a distinct top and bottom, and are segmented up top, like a lot of the Trinidad peppers. I have a couple unaccounted for Aji Cachucha plants, so...
