    pod What is this? Thanks.

That would make sense. My label reads, "Sugar Rush Peach x Ethiopian Pepper Tree". But I have others with that label and they are ripening red.

    SineNomine 2021

Great setup! Never heard of the Whore Mother pepper. Are the wicks reliable?  I may have to leave my peppers unattended for a week and have thought about using a wicking system.  Best wishes on you grow.

    Cherry pepper suggestion?

Search SouthernExposure for these cherry peppers (see attached photo) - sounds like what you are looking for.  They are mild annums - quick growing/ripening, and compact plant size.  Malawi, Peppapeach, and Ethiopian Pepper Tree are all baccatums - larger plants and slower to ripen.  I'm growing...

    Diagnosis help?

What grow medium are you using (e.g., perlite, rockwool, etc.)?     I think peppers do best with Kratky, DWC, or Dutch Bucket hydro techniques.  With Kratky and DWC, the roots are constantly submerged.  With Dutch bucket, the roots are drip irrigated regularly (I drip constant, others stop the...

pests Southern California Pepper Pest Control Advice Please

I bought some bacillus thuringiensis that is apparently very effective against hornworms.  I bought it last year because I saw a lot of sphinx moths in spring.  But I don't think they were the sphinx moth species that produce tomato hornworms, because I didn't have any.  Anyway, maybe look into...

Re: leaf spot.  If the plant is otherwise doing well, I would touch up the affected leaves with a green/chlorophyll marker (temporary measure).  It is always best to figure out the "why" and address that, and not the symptom.  Ditching would be my last option.
