I'm a little new to all of this but from what i've read on this site and from my own experience i would say that you dont need light for the germination stage, just heat and moisture. When your seedling germinate and their cotyledons pop out then get them under a light. I had over 90%...

I took these pics just after watering, the light dries out the soil pretty quick so i just keep the tops moist, I give them a good watering every other day and just spray them a little in between so they're not completely dry. Ill knock the light time down to 18-6, maybe 16-8 and see what...

thanks siliman, good to hear ill be ok for a while..will build something bigger in a couple weeks, how close should I have the light from the little pots that im going to be putting them in? also when i move them into the box should i keep temps around 80-85F? or is there another optimum range?

Hey just want to say after reading this thread i put half my seeds in small glass containers with airtight lids on them..used paper tissue as i couldn't find anything else at home and then put them in my heated propagator. 4 days in i have the first signs of sprouting from naga king (morich) and...

ok so i was a little hung over this morning and decided to finish off my grow box, didn't feel like going out and picking anything up so just used what i had lying around the house..the walls are covered in aluminium foil the box is just big enough to get the bottom half of my heated propagator...

Im not planning on keeping them inside for long, the weather should be nice enough within 6-8 weeks, for the moment im going to stick to the bulb that i have(6500k 2800lm) seeing as my grow box is only around a square foot. Not sure how big these plants will get in the time that it takes the...

thanks siliman, good to know im doing things right... and i thought about using coffee filters but couldn't find any at home and got impatient and just used the tissue paper.. one more question on the lights for my grow box, im going to need more lights if mine is only good for 1 sq foot, so...

mini update: i went out and bought a light based off of 3/5 Kings info, still looking for a good reflective material. Havent had any luck finding mylar or an emergency blanket...my seeds are in little cups inside a heated propagator, the temperature is around 27-30 degrees and im checking them...
