Northern New London County, Connecticut. This is only my second year, but I have had great results growing here so far. I had 200 plants last year, mostly supers and had just shy of 300 plants this year. I diversified this year and have a pretty good mix of supers, hots, and milds.
I pinch off the terminal buds. I have found that, for me, it encourages the plant to bush out more without putting a ton of stress on the plant. The vertical growth of the plant slows while the plant fills out tremendously.
