Yeah, HOA's can suck sometimes. I've been in a couple that were pretty cool, and the one I'm in now is alright (except for the thing with the Home Depot buckets), even if it's expensive. They cover the insurance for the building exteriors, which seriously lowers my homeowner's insurance premiums
