Been moving all day myself bro, I am wore out, could not have done it without help from my friends. Welcome to your new home.
    spongey600
    spongey600
same to you! since i am getting laid off monday, i have plenty of time to clean up the old apt and get the left over stuff as we dont have to be out till next weekend. plus i can work on my garden plot yard!
nothing like getting called into the AVP office to get the news that as of this Monday my position is getting elimintated. but the good news is that i get 8 weeks severence and can except a position as a security officer and get paid for that too while i look for a new job! i cannot wait to find the new position as this company i work for is backward!
all the potted plants are at the new house, the hydro plants will go next weekend along wiht everything else, i am going to miss the view we have, but will be nice to have a house and a yard to to play with! i just know that at the house i will have to battle more bugs to deal with including caterpillars! went over there and found a moth on the underside of a leaf laying eggs! well long story short they all died

yeah, gomma be an interesting learning curve! hopefully i dont have animals that want to eat them too! we dont havea side gate so they can just walk into the yard
woo-hoo, getting a compost bin so i can keep growing organic since we wont have room for a huge compost pile!!!!

The worms aren't for the soil, they are to make compost faster. Worms eat food scraps, they poop it out, you put it in your soil. cuts out the bad parts of compost out like: Flys, stink, Rat/possum/Bug attractant. Trust me, even if you don't try it, just look in to vermicomposting, not only are you composting but you are getting worm castings for worm tea. It would be good to have even if you dont use it for you bedding. Regular compost takes ~7 months or more, worm compost takes DAYS...
    spongey600
    spongey600
yes, i know what they do, and yes in time i will probably get/make a bin, but with a compost bin it takes about 3-4 weeks to "cook" the compost in the bin once you stop adding stuff to it, and with the worms in the garden area they are producing castings in the ground where the plants can use it without me have to harvest the castings. i will be asking for a worm bin for my b-day as i have the perfect spot for one in the yard, and wiht composting in a bin if the ratio of stuff is...

    MilkStud
Yeah I threw some worms in the garden and they havent left they love it and multiply like crazy giving you the castings.
shitty ass weather in San Diego! cold windy and crappy! moving the plants to the new house sunday or monday!
    spongey600
    spongey600
i mean its upper 60's and windy, its been in the mid 70's for last few weeks. but the plants are still growing. hopefully at the new house the air temps might be a little warmer as the wind cannot hit the back yard. but hell we will see. might just convert the 3rd bedroom to a grow room and have some REAL fun!

just took some brain strain pods to the local hydro shop for them! all 5 employees agreed that it was by FAR the hottest pod tye had tried! and that was just a tswab of oil form inside! LOL and i ate half the pod! they are still small and were not completely ripe. cant wait to see how big and gnarly they get after moving to the new house and the temps rise
