Phil you need to come to AZ, they have "festivals" for crawdads, mainly for the tourists. Game and fish say to kill any you see, apparently it is so bad they kill off the trout population.

Be here for 2:00. Trent, sounds like a problem that I'd love to help solve. We have crawfish festivals here too, but it's not a statewide control effort. It's just to celebrate, like all of our festivals.... catfish fest, alligator fest, gumbo fest, strawberry fest,French quarter fest, and the famous Jazz Fest.... there are dozens of each all around the state.

Damn. Sounds festive! Where I live, we probably have corn fest (dent corn, that is) or soybean fest, or something boring or dumb like that.
