seeds What am I doing wrong? Seedlings not making it....

No pics, this actually happened a couple months back. Just now getting around to asking about it. What you describe is pretty much what happened. I'll read more on how to prevent it. I just didn't understand why the japs did great, I had close to 100 seedlings in total that I had to thin out to...

seeds What am I doing wrong? Seedlings not making it....

I should have asked this a while ago since it's probably too late to plant anything, though I might continue to practice, but I planted to load of seeds back in early May. A lot germinated and even made it to first true leaves, then they just die. I stared and have about 50 mature Jalapeno...

    vendor The Hippy Seed Company

I had crushed seeds from him once and he replaced them. Second batch I had about 50% germination and then lost my seedlings to an unexpected frost even though they were in a DIY hot house. Evidently it wasn't so hot.

for-sale Hot Pepper Plant Sale East Central Florida ( former Space Coast )

Do you ship? Can pepper plants even be shipped? I know that it's very common in the aquarium hobby. I have shipped and received plants many times. I've also received terrestrial plants several times in the mail when I have poison dart frogs.

We usually have them here too but haven't seen them this season. I have seen the seeds for sale too, again, not this year. I was hoping to get some too.

Lost all my seedlings...anyone have seeds to sell?

Yeah, most people that grow from seed usually start them sometime in March and plant in the ground middle to end of May. Growing season goes into September, maybe first of October if the weather holds like last year. So yeah, doing seeds now, I'm definitely playing catch up but I should still...

    fertilizer Natural fertilizer

From what I understand, rabbit manure is the one manure that can be added straight to plants. Of course, I doubt it would hurt to compost them first, but I don't think you have to. I'm excited too, I' getting ready to get my first breeding trio of rabbits so I should be ankle deep in fertilizer...

Lost all my seedlings...anyone have seeds to sell?

Thanks...I did check out your site already. Not that the seedlings are a bad price, but more than I can afford, especially since I'd like to get numerous plants in the ground if possible.

Lost all my seedlings...anyone have seeds to sell?

Thanks everyone. I really appreciate the offers. Not sure why I have trouble germinating hot peppers. I can get about anything else to grow. I finally had hots growing this year including the scorpions and I was super excited. Had them out in my mini DIY hot house and I guess one night the temps...

Lost all my seedlings...anyone have seeds to sell?

Not looking for handouts, I'm more than willing to pay for the seeds. I am looking for seeds. I lost about 50 seedlings, various Japs, Habs, and about 15 Trinidad Scorpions which makes me very sad. I really was hoping I could get those to grow this year since last two times I ordered seeds from...

    Buying superhots

You wouldn't be getting rid of any of those seeds by chance? Especially the habs. I ordered some scorpion seeds from a member here the other day but I'd like to get some good habanero seeds for next year too.

    pickled Pickled peppers....

You can use whatever peppers you want...I went with Jalapeno and Habanero since that is all I had but I would think your imagination is the only limit with this.... The recipe is super simple and very basic. It allows for full pepper flavor but adds sweet to cut the heat. This stuff is...

    chcolate jalapeno seeds

Yeah...mine turn an almost brown, very dark purple just before turning an awesome red color. But I wouldn't call them brown or chocolate jalapenos.

wanted WTB Trinidad Scorpion Seeds or bare root plants

I just used Jiffy Pots like recommended on his sight. I soaked them per instructions and rung them out so they were damp but not dripping wet, make a small dent on top and covered. I sprinkled few drops of water on top of that and sealed up the green house box. It's nice and humid and stays in...

wanted WTB Trinidad Scorpion Seeds or bare root plants

haha...I have them in a Jiffy Pot greenhouse thing...they have worked in the past so that's what I am using now...temps are in the 70's and 80's and moisture is good.

wanted WTB Trinidad Scorpion Seeds or bare root plants

Well...that's good to hear...it's been about 3 weeks so far and nothing so maybe there is still hope for this second batch. All my other peppers have sprouted after about 10-14 days...that's why I thought these were duds. I'll keep them going a bit longer to see what happens. Thanks for the advice.
