Hi all, Does anyone have any Yucatan white habanero seeds that they can give or sell? I'm really hoping to grow this particular variety. Last season, I got 25 of these seeds, but none of them germinated. I'm hoping the seeds from another source will work better. Please PM me if you can help...

I definitely bought seeds for the rounded Yucatan habanero. I posted this question on another forum and a couple of people said they were also having germination problems with the Peruvian variety too.

Thanks for your reply. Are mites visible? I know I've seen some aphids and that stupid caterpillar/worm thing, but nothing else. Do you know if Neem oil works on mites? And no, I don't water the plants in the sun... I usually water in the evening when the sun goes down.

Yep, I was wondering if it was the seeds. I know this variety has a low germination rate, but I bought 25 seeds and I find it odd that none of them will germinate. Did the seeds that germinated turn into healthy plants?

Interesting. I'll try the cotton ball technique. If this works, would I plant the cotton ball in the soil with the sprouted seed? I imagine the roots would get attached to the cotton right? Thanks much!

Hi, no the plant wasn't wet. I usually water in the evening after the sun goes down. Thanks for reassurance about possible sun damage. I was hoping this wasn't serious. If it's not the sun, I don't know what it could be.
