I ordered my first box of peppers from Mike earlier this week and the goodies arrived today all in excellent condition! Thank you Mike for taking the extra time to pick out these beautiful pods for me.

    craft beer

That reminds me of an article I recently read about pairing the perfect beer and ice cream for a float. Here were their recommendations:   Sour beers make fantastic floats; Berliner Weisses go with stone fruit sorbets and berry-based lambics match well with chocolate.   American India pale...

    craft beer

Broke in my newly purchased Spiegelau glass with some Coronado Stupid Stout. I know the 'experts' say I should be drinking this beer in their Stout glass but I prefer the feel of the tulip shaped glass in my hand over their wide stemmed craft beer glasses.

    Capsaicin tolerance.....of the bung

I'm sure having a strong immune systems and healthy gut flora has something to do with it as well. It's the same reason we're told not to drink the water when we go to Mexico. If our bodies don't neutralize the capsaicin by the time it reaches the rectum we're feelin' the burn.

hot-sauce CAPPYS BRAIN STRAIN SAUCE !

Just got my bottle of Brain Strain in the mail today and I just have to say wow. Like other reviewers have previously stated you can smell the fermented peppers right away but it's not too overpowering. Tried just a teaspoon and was blown away by the heat. It has some nice mix of spices and...

    hot-sauce sriracha

Being from California, and living just 20 minutes away from the Huy Fong Headquarters, it still surprises me when I hear from someone who hasn't tried Sriracha yet. A lot of people don't know they also make a chili paste 'Sambal Oelek' which is basically made of red chilies, vinegar and salt...

    Strawberry ghost pepper jam

The local Farmers Market has killer jams but the hottest pepper they use is jalapenos so I'll buy my favorite jam (Apricot with brandy) and add a drop of Pure Evil to each serving.

    hot-sauce hot sauces!!!!!

As you can see from this screenshot I used to go through two bottles of HBD Cauterizer a month so now I'm officially burnt out on that hot sauce.   On a side note one of the most underrated hot sauces I've had was their limited edition run of Bad Brains F.V.K. 7 Pot Extreme Hot Sauce. They no...

Jack in the Box Blazin' Chicken Sandwich Reveiw

You can get one for $7.00 (shipping included) at http://sriracha2go.com. The price is a bit steep for an empty little squeeze bottle but it's BPA Free and TSA friendly and well worth it if you regularly eat out.

Jack in the Box Blazin' Chicken Sandwich Reveiw

Yeah, as far as fast food chicken sandiches go Chic-Fil-A is pretty decent; although their fries taste terrible and no amount of ranch dressing can make them palatable.   On a side note, for everyone who's been complaining about how mild these fast food chain sandwiches are I suggest investing...

    chinense Wendy's ghost pepper fries

Does it honestly surprise you guys that a fast food chain that advertises using ghost peppers doesn't deliver on the heat it promises? I'm sure if someone does a little research they'll find some kind of policy or regulation fast food chains follow as to how spicy they can make their food to...

hot-sauce Extreme Karma by The Karma Sauce Company

Forgive me if my review isn't as eloquent as others on this forum but I just had to write this review about this hot sauce since nobody has mentioned it yet.   A few weeks back I stumbled upon this hot sauce through an article I read online about a new company called Heatonist that sources...

hot-sauce Brain Strain Sauce by Cappy!

This sounds like an amazing hot sauce. I bet by the time you make that new batch of Brain Strain those 10 woozie bottles will be spoken for but if you have a bottle left I'd love to buy one.

    vendor Texas Creek

So I placed my order on Monday night, got my tracking confirmation the very next day, and just two days later my package arrived in the mail. Talk about fast service! Super Bowl Sunday is going to be the perfect time to experiment with Pure Evil. I'll be adding a few drops to just about anything...

    vendor Texas Creek

Hi all, I just stumbled upon this vendor vault and felt like I should give a shout out to Texas Creek and Salsalady for super fast shipping of the wickedly hot 7 pot Jonah puree. I tried half a teaspoon just to get a taste and, man, that thing had a kick. Definitely not for the faint of heart.

    wheat beer..why???

lol, I know how to pronounce hefeweizen. It's when I try to convert people from Blue Moon or Shock Top to a hef and give them the name of the brewery I just murder the name.

    wheat beer..why???

I don't always drink wheat beer, but when I do, I go for the hard to pronounce German hefeweizens.

tutorial Making some puree today...will post pics of the process....it's easy....

Sorry, I was being a little lazy and not wanting to do the math at the moment. If I don't have enough fresh peppers to make my own puree then I should probably buy some from one of the vendors here or seeing that you and a number of other members are already making large batches of puree would...

tutorial Making some puree today...will post pics of the process....it's easy....

Hi all. If I wanted to scale down this recipe to about 20 - 25 grams of fresh peppers how much vinegar, agave nectar, and sea salt would you recommend?   Also, I don't do much cooking at home so forgive me if this is a dumb question. After combining all of the ingredients into the blender (after...

    DON'T FEAR THE REAPER...

Great review. I love the subtitles too. "Feels like meeting choco hot chocolate" LMAO. I noticed you said it has some seeds in there. If I mixed a couple of tablespoons of this stuff in a bottle of Sriracha do you think it'll clog up the nozzle?
