Yeah, I'd love to see what that looks like. We don't really have anything like that up here. Closest thing would be a couple of the farmers markets if you catch them at the right time, but I doubt they have as many of the really interesting varieties.

It's cool that you can pick up such a variety of peppers locally. I'd be constantly be looking for new and interesting things in stock. BTW, I'm growing that Lumbre XXX you send me seeds for and it's starting to put on some size now at 40 days from sprouting. Shouldn't be too much longer...

I was just sorting though some pepper seeds yesterday and saw I had Cascabel seeds that I didn't grow this season. I was thinking maybe I'd try them this next season. Now I'm definitely going to try them given your review. There's so many good Mexican heirloom annuums.

If you decide to use a tent, a simple ceramic-style reptile heat lamp in the tent will do a lot for the internal temperature. This works well with an Inkbird controller, like Bou suggests. A controller isn't necessary, but it helps regulate temperature better and can save some electricity $$ as...

Not really. My strategy is to avoid being late in getting it going and to get it into a final home with decent root room early on.

The seed coat's not clamped, it's somewhat plump with moisture, and you can see the green of the cotyledons already, so this isn't a bad helmet head - thought it's not one I'd do the pinch-and-pull method on quite yet either. I might be different than BF in that in a case like this I'll leave...

It's always been slow for me. Matures like the chinense it is; ripens like the baccatum it sounds like. I've gotten decent production before, but it's been hit or miss for me from season to season.
