Nice man. Superhots take forever to grow. I had a scorpion take like 25 days to pop once. Your lighting is good, but if they look like they're stretching for light then lower it a bit. 

If hybridization occurred, you wouldn't see the effects until the next generation. For example, your two plants. They could have crossed, but the peppers on them now won't show that. Think of the two flowers as parents, the pepper that developed as the mother and the seeds in it as the baby...

I grew them. tbh, I wouldn't call it habanero heat. It has the c. chinense smell for sure, so you cut into it and you're expecting heat based on that spicy odor, but flavor is a little different. spreading compost before the ground really freezes up. bleeding radiators, snow tires, weather stripping some leaky windows, some car maintenance. winters are typically pretty boring for me.

Depends if the growing medium fully dried out. If it was bone dry all the way to the bottom, and the seed had already started growing underground, then yes, it is definitely dead. However it could still be alive and 10 days isn't long enough for a seed to germinate especially habs. I'd start...

Seed prices are ridiculous now, if I were growing all these fancy new superhots every year I'd be spending more money on seeds than grow tech, pots, water and soil. I'm seeing really high prices everywhere else from seed vendors. 

I'd wait a little bit for the shock to fade, and don't worry about clipping the damaged leaves, the plant will drop them when it's ready. How old are they? What is night temps in your office? What are they potted in?
