    Pepper X

As soon as I tasted the first one, I knew I had something special. It didn't have that bad green pepper taste you get with other mustards. It was cquite hot, but I've really boosted the heat and have improved on the taste even more. I was thinking the next generation was going to throw all kinds...

    Pepper X

It is a pepper I've been working on. It originally started as an off pheno King Naga. I've been selecting for heat, taste, and pod size and have doubled the heat in just 2 generations. You can find a recent video by Johnny Scoville and lots of pictures on my Seriously Hot Peppers Facebook page...

What's the oldest plant in your garden?

If you are not talking about just pepper plants, then, an estimated 430 years old. If you are talking about just peppers, then 5 years, but I think its going to be history and not make it for this coming season.

    Pepper X

We will see if pepper x truly gets the record, or it is just another lie to perpetuate the myth of a 3.17 mil mustard pepper. They sold 70,000 last dab bottles at $20 each based on the myth and people bought more even after the sauce was known to be much weaker than the math tells us it should...

    favorite Your favorite pepper variety

My favorite pepper to grow may not be my favorite pepper. My favorite pepper for heat and taste is the red 7 pot Primo. They however are a little picky on production and don't produce a lot. The ted Brain Strain is also great for taste and ate very hot. They produce really good early in the...

    wanted Fresh peppers wanted

These guys should have them this time of year. I know I've been filling boxes for the last 6 weeks. Mike got flooded during the hurricane. I'm sure he started over, but at the time, he wasn't wanting to try again. I've been so busy trying to get my place back into shape, I haven't talked to...

    New Dragon Breath Pepper?

I would be very happy to try growing it. I just messaged Bob and he says they won't have more seeds till September. So, how many of you guys are growing this now? How far ate you away at trying one? Will any of you in the US have any pods available? Tom

for-sale Red Ghost Original Strain Plants for sale

I got a bunch of the plants a week or so ago. He sent me 12 extras and 1 has died. The others are perfect looking and are getting bigger already. Oh yea, the fudge. Everyone at hot pepper night loved the fudge. People are asking about buying some. To anyone still thinking, great little plants...

Grow or bloom fert. for blooming hot peppers

I get 4 cycles of flowers each year. I really can't switch fertilizers every two months. I incorporate 360 day Nutricote once a year and I get good amounts of flowers and pods. I also get good growth between cycles.

heat What's the hottest thing you're growing this year?

I'm already growing red and chocolate Primos, reapers, and Brain Strains. The chocolate Primos are the hottest of these six. The hottest new ones I'm trying this season are BTRs and the Death Spiral. We will see how these Death Spirals turn out. Tom

    Kraken Scorpian

I've grown them for a couple of years. They produce fairly well. These things have piles of oil in them. It is the only pepper that made me sneeze when I was cutting them in half to put in the dehydrator. My wife could smell them a minute later 40 feet away in the back room. They are not the...

    St Augustine datil pepper sources

Looks like a good place for the plants. The extension place should be able to help, but also, if you get a chance to talk to a vendor, they would know other vendors that had items for sale. Once you start talking to Datil pepper people there, it is a tight community and they all are very nice...

    St Augustine datil pepper sources

I'm with Buzzman, that sauce is terrible if you are expecting it to taste like Datil peppers. If you want the best heirloom seeds, this is the place https://pureflorida.blogspot.com/p/freshly-harvested-datil-pepper-seeds.html This is where my genetics came from. I do have an isolated plant...

    Phytosanitary Certificate

You find out which countries are picky and which ones are not. England can be picky. Australia and New Zealand are the worst. South Africa doesn't care about non CITES materials, but your shipment might get stolen. Rats might eat your seeds going to India. All kinds of fun things you find out...

Primo released some new pepper seeds

I look at the seed purchase as an investment. I've never seen a caramel mama anywhere. $8 for what will be more than 20 seeds is a good investment to me. The mamas are heavy producers. Even at wholesale price a single plant is going to produce $50+ in a year. If you only get 5 good plants out of...
