I'm ready to try some of the ones A.J. is growing. I don't care if they are even remotely close to the world's hottest...I just hope they taste good.
Same here. Can't wait to get ahold of some of them along with aji charapita if possible from him. Up until the fresh pepper entry was added for it, I always kept a tab with the seeds open in case it was updated.

If I get an Aji Charapita in a box of labeled peppers, I'll be excited to try it. I can't afford to spend that much on a box or half box of them, though.

I expect the eleven grand a pound price will be too hard to resist and rather than selflessly sharing the seeds to bring prices down, people will just harvest them and get on the phone or Internet and try to sell them at a discount to restaurants.

If done by someone that's in debt, I'd have a hard time being mad about it.

Just gonna throw this out there: People who are growing Dragon's Breath this year are getting some flack here and there.  People seem to immediately say it is just a variant of the Naga Viper or its not really that hot.  Oh, and my favorite that Pepper X is actually hotter.  Even Wikipedia promotes that last one. Its as if heat is the only consideration.  Really odd to this guy who is trying to complete things like his baby bell collection of colors so he can make really colorful platters of stuffed pepper appetizers.  Still havent found black / dark purple in a baby bell.

So I say grow it.  Eat it.  And then love it or hate it.  But only in that order.

It is known to have come from 7-Pot Infinity (not Naga Viper but the previous record) seed stock but it's definitely not just the same pepper. Heatwise, it was way up there for me but I'd actually be more interested in a mild pepper that tasted like that. More usable.

Was it Infinity offshoot?  I get so damned confused these days.  One person says one thing, the next says something else.

I would be very happy to try growing it. I just messaged Bob and he says they won't have more seeds till September. So, how many of you guys are growing this now? How far ate you away at trying one? Will any of you in the US have any pods available? Tom

Was requested to give an update. They are growing and healthy to an extent. First round of blooms fell off. Haven't really been tending to them as I should as its the height of the Growing and picking season. Again not gonna get into the debate of the hottest and all, but will have seeds when they do start producing.
