    HP56 Death Strain.

Here is a forward from Facebook, a new newspaper article and interview from Ed's mouth. Looks like he has changed the name of the 56, and the cross that made the reaper. I always find that I can keep a story straight when I tell the truth. People ask why there is drama. Every time he puts some...

chinense The best tasting non-hot C.chinense ever - The Aji jobito

I have been a rare plant collector for 30 years, and when I get serious about a plant group, I would keep up with the newest things that would come into the US. Is the same thing with peppers. In groups like this, there are others like me, and after you talk to others like you, you almost take...

chinense The best tasting non-hot C.chinense ever - The Aji jobito

They are in 3 gallon containers with a round metal, tomato cage for $30. I sold plenty of plants, but most people over looked it. Nobody knew what a Jobito was, or what a Wartryx was. Sold a lot of reaper plants that were about 40 inches tall though. This WAS a pepper festival, but most of...

    chinense Bhut Shaped Reaper

I have a hard time throwing away anything. I kept my plants because they still have the heat and the taste, and my sauce customers didn't care what they looked like as long as they taste the same for their sauce. Mine are more like naga size instead of big bhut size. I'll probably replace them...

chinense The best tasting non-hot C.chinense ever - The Aji jobito

I just came back from being a vendor at the Pinellas Park Pepper Festival. I brought a 30 inch tall, thick looking Jobito plant, covered with flowers and a few peppers on it and it lasted both days and nobody bought it. I'm really amazed.

chinense So I tried a Jay's Peach Scorpion.

These things are great as a powder. They have a fruit taste that should be great in any sauce with fruit in it. Fresh, they had a watered down taste and a long, time release heat. Tom

Who is going to the pepper festival April 9-10 Pinellas Park Florida

I was wondering who is going to the pepper festival this year. Since I will be a vendor this year, I wrote all the details in the forum ad section. So, who is going? Sicman, you coming out this year?

    Pepper FestivalApril 9-10

Anyone in the Tampa-St. Petersburg area, if you didn't know already April 9-10 is the 10th annual pepper festival in Pinellas Park. I have linked the site. There are usually lots of sauce vendors, where if you were to sample every sauce they have, it should easily be more than 100 sauces. Most...

chinense The best tasting non-hot C.chinense ever - The Aji jobito

Yea, I can see having extra plants that can be sold as they first start to flower so people up north can get pods in time. These are for sure, a two season type that people up north would have to bring inside at least for one winter just to get a decent harvest. Another attribute I am seeing...

chinense The best tasting non-hot C.chinense ever - The Aji jobito

I think this is going to be a drawback for most people growing peppers. My seeds geminated in July and just today, I saw a little yellow forming on my first pod. It won't be long now though. Nobody who grows outside, unless you are in an area that never freezes, will be able to grow these things...

Oldest seeds that you have germinated

I haven't done this long enough to have really old seeds. I think 5 year old seeds and they did well. I'm picky on my storing, so I know they will be good for a much longer time. Seeds stored in paper envelopes. They go into mason jars with indicating desiccant in the bottom of the jar, insuring...

    HP56 Death Strain.

That is good to know. I don't mind burning my face off trying a new pepper, but I have no use for any pepper that just doesn't taste good. If you want a hotter sauce, just use more of the pepper you like the taste of. I'd rather just use more Primo material, because that one is still super hot...

Yes, but are you getting weeks now where it isn't freezing? We could just time it right. I can look at the 15 day forecast for Chicago and figure it out. Tom Just looked, around March 9-12 your lowest low is 40. This coming week you are too dammed cold

SmokenFire, how long will it be before your weather is safe enough to ship a plant your way? It would pleasure me a great deal to send you up a plant that right now, is already balling up and ready to flower. It is only about 8 inches tall, so it will be easy to ship. If I have to wait a month...

chinense What is best for maximum growth in Carolina reaper seedlings?

They don't need any more time to grow than most of the other hot pepper plants. Most seed starting mediums will have a little fertilizer mixed in, and if so, you don't need anything else, at least for now. What I do is incorporate Nutricote in the tray I start my seeds in. I then take the...

chinense The best tasting non-hot C.chinense ever - The Aji jobito

These plants produce way better then I was expecting. I now have 7 plants in isolation and each plant has about 20 set peppers on each one. There are lots of flowers on each one now, so we will see if I can get 40-60 pods each on these comparatively small plants. If they produce any kind of...

chinense Has anyone eaten a Ghost pepper (or equivilant) at once?

You should try using Moringa tree leaves in salads, or cooking them like greens. They can heal ulcerations inside and outside the body. Tom
