    Late start

Yeah they are good. You should have a long growing season. Wait until they are 3-4 feet tall and bushy. Cool thing about the plastic pot is you can slide the whole dirt clump and root ball out to take a look at it, and it's actually easier if it's root bound. But no need to transplant anytime soon.

    condiment Ingelhoffer Ghost Pepper Mustard?

Damn I would say Beaver and Inglehoffer make some of the best mustard that's widely available out there and I had no clue they were under the same label.

My Aji Charapitas are done already

You're not one of those people who think they'll get rich growing these, are you? Cuz if you are, I hate to be the one to break it to you....

    Got stem?

That's very cool but I have to be honest I was very disappointed when this wasn't a picture of a huge thick pepper stem coming out of the ground :)

My Aji Charapitas are done already

Peppers grow year round in the right weather. Sometimes they take a break from flowering when it's too hot or too humid for an extended period of time. If the plants are healthy they will produce again. Pics would help by the way. Is this a 10 inch plant or a 4 foot plant?

    Late start

The fabric pot shouldn't make that much of a difference until the roots grow to the edge of the pot and air prune (tip dies and root grows more laterals - it's actually very similar to topping a plant, but happens under ground). When the roots hit the edge of the plastic pot they just turn and...

chinense It seems as though I've grown some Trinidad Scorpions. Now What??

One more idea mash garlic and finely chopped pepper with salt in a mortar and pestle to make a paste. Add some herbs like basil, rosemary, tarragon, or thyme and mash some more. Whisk in some olive oil and lemon juice until well combined but make sure it is still thick like a paste. Rub on any...

chinense It seems as though I've grown some Trinidad Scorpions. Now What??

I just noticed you are in London that 170 is Fahrenheit. Should be about 75 Celsius or whatever the lowest temperature your oven will set to.

chinense It seems as though I've grown some Trinidad Scorpions. Now What??

Yes char or smoke is just for flavor. To dry in oven set oven to low (about 170 in most ovens) and put the halved peppers on a cookie sheet covered with parchment paper and put them in the oven. Leave the oven cracked to avoid too much heat build up. You want them bone dry, it might take 12...

chinense It seems as though I've grown some Trinidad Scorpions. Now What??

Cut them in half and remove the seeds. Char them on a charcoal grill for a few minutes, or put them in a smoker for 1-2 hours. Finish drying in the oven or dehydrator and crush for powder. Ferment it a good idea too.

overwintering Promising outlook on winter grow (8/5 seed start)

Got a really late start on the season. Set up seeds to germinate on August 5th - used rock wool cubes, heating mat, and humidity dome and it worked really well. Consistent 82-85 temps. Each of 14 varieties got its own cube with 5-8 seeds and right now I'm 12/14 on having at least one viable...

    Not sure what these are....

Also look similar to 7 pot brain strain, which burned more than any pepper I've ever eaten. Several folks here agree that the brain strain has the highest level of perceived heat, even if it is not at the top of the Scoville ratings.

    breeding Chiltepin cross

Chilitepin X Reaper are the small roundish ones in the middle. I got them in a box from 96strat in 2016. Still not sure if I have any of the seeds out of these fruits (I may have started all of them in the past few weeks) but assuming they germinate and grow out I will save seeds from...
