    Earliest ripening peppers

The OP on this one is over a year old, FYI. But I'm in NJ, zone 7b. I had literally thousands of volunteers in my beds. No ripe fruit yet, but I have green pods hanging on volunteer Serranos, Jalapeños, Orange Thais, and Tien Tsins. I also have a plant that's probably a Poblano or a Guajillo...

    Earliest ripening peppers

I eat bells year-round, mostly bc they're so readily available. But I would not even consider the possibility of growing my own. Like, every time ppl ask me if I do grow bells--which happens regularly-- I airways feel surprised and a lil taken aback... Like, "no.... But why would I??"

What kind of bug/insect is this?

Yeah what he said, but stank bugs do seem to enjoy all varieties of peppers.

    Legal question

Well, it kinda almost happened. I came home the other night, and my neighbors were outside lighting of fireworks and they told me about how, the night before, my one neighbor's son took a NagaBrain out of my front garden bed by my stoop. He's telling me, "I figured I eat hot shit all the time...

    annuum Zapotec Jalapenos

I feel like, once they're fully ripe, they have a nice heat/sweet balance. Bitterness and cap go hand in hand, and like you said, the Zapotecs are pretty danged hot... But I don't know that I've ever had any Jalapeño that I'd call "bitter." But I guess it's relative, and I'm usually eating...

    Same variety, look nothing alike

Yeah, that's where I got my surprise purple SuperHot seed from, too. I'm a huge fan of WHP, I'll never stop ordering from Justin, but I'm getting more surprises than sure shots this year, for sure. Lol That's weird, but fascinating. I've had plants that has different "zones" for different...

    Same variety, look nothing alike

Where did you get seeds from? I got some BOC seeds; so far, none are growing true, but one has deep purple attend and branches, had purple leaves(now green) and the pods go from dark purple>lighter purple& green>green>red.

What kind of bug/insect is this?

Yes, those are definitely stank bugs. Kill them quick. Spray of you must, dust then with some food grade diatomaceous Earth, stomp /squish /whoopazz manually. Whatever you gotta do, get them gone. You can win this. These guys won't eat your pods, but they will suck juice out. So, the pod looks...

pics Lets see your meanest, most gnarly pods!!!

One of the Red Brainstrain plants I grew from your seeds is producing pods like that. Same color, same texture, very similar shapes...

    Started some new fellas

I'm hung up on how one gets viable seeds from a "premature" pod... The OP even mentioned that these plants cane from "premature" seeds. If premature=unripe, I'm pretty sure the seeds wouldn't have germinated. Or maybe Berry means just like an early pods when (s)he says "premature?" At any rate...

Foliar Feeding - Newb Needs Some Answers

I have sprayed water/Epsom salt solution at a 1tbls/1gallon ratio. It has never hurt anything as far as I can tell, but it's never worked any miracles, either. Deeper, darker green leaves, for sure. But I don't think you're gonna get a Lazarus effect, either. That being said, based on the...

    sun Dropping during direct sunlight

In addition to agreeing with what others said above (wilting is normal), I'm going to say that extreme high temps will cause flowers and fruit to drop. I'm in NJ but we've been well into the 90s°F and most my flowers from the top layers of the canopy have been dropping, as well as some fruit...

    P. Dreadie Memorial Group Grow 2016

Update, pics to come: I have been eating ripe Dreadies all week. I got six plants in a raised bed out back, and I gave two plants to my buddy Dave-- he was stoked to harvest his first two homegrown Yella Scotch Bonnets yesterday; both came off the same Dreadie plant, grown from seeds I got from...

    annuum Zapotec Jalapenos

I had two afflicted with BER that turned red, as damaged pods do tend to ripen faster. I didn't fuck with those; in the old days, I'd just chop the stank end of and way the the rest. But, I've marked. And I have literally hundreds of nice big clean Jalapeños coming; over grown up beyond eating...

Chocolate Brainstrain and Brown Moruga: where to find seeds?

I have several varieties of chocolate SuperHots going in 2019, including Choco Brainstrains. No Chocolate Morugas, though. But I got Naglahs, Douglahs, BBMs, Chocolate Primos... Trying to pick a favorite or two to grow in the future. Now I wish I'd tried Chocolate Morugas as well. The pods...
