  Because you dont just test a pepper that is only few seasons old (I dont know about the reaper) but I am talking about my strains.   When testing and wining a title, you must have consistency among generations, otherwise it is just a sample of a strain that won the title.

chocolate and brown kinda the same color. Blacks are darker, for example, like chocolate habanero is not back, But Black Congo is Black since it is darker   Growing conditions (mainly the sun) affect color, texture, size, even taste 

Chipotle= smoked jalapeno    Chipotle is not a pepper, it is a from of powder made from jalapeno  or some smoked then canned jalapenos
