I heard urine works to deter them too.... So I just peed on the fence where I think it might have come in....lol I usually fluff up the sand where I suspect the entry point is, but it has been too windy for the tracks to stay long enough for me to see. Might try the water trick. Thanks!

I just emailed Jukka about the germination rate of basically zero that I am getting after a month in the germ tray. Hopefully he replies with something good. I am surprised, I managed to succesfully germinate over 1,200 seedlings this year, but so far not the 3 varieties I got from him.

Funny thing is that I asked the vendor what variety of garlic it was, he said he didn't know...lol I assume it is some kind of elephant garlic. I had a couple refular garlics too, and they all matured at the same time, so I figure the bigger stuff is the way to go. More garlic to eat and took...

Thanks!! Unfortunately there are lots of stupid rabbits out here.... I could never get them all. The main thing is to get the plants big enough to survive a little predation from the buggers.... And hopefully figure out where it is getting into the garden at!

Well, this morning I watered, and am not sure what it "sampled" other than eating 4 eggplant seedlings to the ground....I sprayed those too, so I hope the stupid rabbit got more than it bargained for! If it keeps invading, I am going to have to use the bb gun, and sit out back waiting for it...

Yeah, melons sprawl out and take some space. And you'll need some room to have those, tomatoes and peppers. If I was you I would save your money instead of buying lights just yet. (You can get them later, to use next season to start seeds in january for a jumpstart) It is warm at night, so your...

I use peat pellets in a dome... as soon as they pop, I put em in cups of soil under lights. No lights needed for the germination dome. So just use the lights for the ones that have sprouted. This time of year, I give em a couple days under the lights, then put them outside for the real sunshine...
