chinense My wife is mad at me. Ghost peppers were involved.

...aaahhh...if I had made this post, I'd be thinking I wish I hadn't and ask The Boss to delete it for me.  But that's just me.   Unless, of course it was an "Ambien Tweet" - then I should be forgiven for the crude judgement.

    2018 - The Farm

We'll have to keep an eye on that "rare 3 year old farm girl".  I suspect she will grow up with an unfathomable work ethic, rarely seen in today's youth!   Great glog, Trent.   Obviously, all this work is not so much about now, but years two, three, four and beyond...but it must be difficult to...

Sorry I did not respond sooner.  I just saw this.  It has been a difficult weekend.  We found out Thursday that our dog has a nasty cancer and will likely not live very long.  I am not dealing with it with much grace.

I've heard of Huacatay, but I'll have to google the other three.  That was a cool gift.   I got the assortment of Venezuelan peppers from Lindberg a couple years back and have enjoyed growing some unique varieties new to N America.

No Dale, I'm in NE Ohio! I meant I'd like all the things I could grow in FL but I'd not be so fond of that heat. Thanks for the offer though, I wish I could make use of those.

Southern Florida would probably suit me fine for all the exotic fruits I could grow except for the summer heat - 98 degrees and 367 % humidity wears on me a bit!

Is anal pasture a real thing?

Of course I'm not talking about you, SL.   You know I hold you in highest regard.   ... and btw... you should not use "HSL" as a aka, OK.   It sounds like either an STD or a very bad cholesterol level

Is anal pasture a real thing?

There are some respectable THP members (Boss may be suspect) reading and posting in this thread.     What is the matter with you people?   I wouldn't waste may reading and posting in a thread like this.   You all should try to emulate my standards of decency for a change.     ...and btw, I...

Do you have a market down there that sells the cashew apples?  I have never seen them before.    But then, in my immediate area, we have kiwi as our staple exotic fare with the occasional starfruit sidling up to the Gala apples.

    bottling Hot fill questions?

The key words in HFH would be "proper pH".   If the pH of your product is too high you will be risking exposure to botulinum toxin.

    baccatum Aji White Lightning Bolt

Actually, Rick, this cross is so young there really is no normal White Lightning Bolt pepper.  If someone takes the reins and grows it out for eight generations with self pollination it could be considered a stable cross.  I expect, if enough people who have this seed choose to grow it several...

    Devv-2018-Loving life in the dirt

Those are amazing, Dale(and I thought Amarillos were big).  Are they as productive as the Amarillo?   There are so many varieties of peppers out there.  I mention to people that I grow a lot of peppers and they picture a garden full of Jalapeno, Hungarian wax and Californian Wonder.  Then I tell...

Scott,   Love the look of those Amarillo and Limo peppers.  I am growing the Amarillo this year and hope mine look like that.  I have never eaten them but their reputation made me "need" to grow them this year after getting scratched in my final cut the past two seasons.   I've heard so much...

Please Tell Me I Didn't Bork My Sauce

Unfortunately, that scorched taste usually permeates your whole pot.  It all comes down to the taste.  If you enjoy the way it tastes you're fine.  But if every time you use it you find yourself tolerating an off taste, do yourself a favor and dump it and start over.   If you love hot sauce you...
