No.  The Growdown Throwdown is for the tallest plant by Halloween.  Everyone gets the same seed sent to them, I think around Feb.?  Gets posted in Glogs,  http://thehotpepper.com/topic/52751-growdown-throwdown-2015/

I like that list.  I'm going to go through my seeds tonight and start my list.  Still time for chinenses if I should weaken.  I hope more PNWers enter the Growdown Throwdown this season.

Post your lighting questions in the Grow Tech subforum.  Lots of LED users there.  I'm not an LED user, so, no help here.

Same number of plants as last season?  A lot I've never heard of.  Is the hab the lone chinense? I'd start the chinenses no later than Jan.1.  Better a little early than later.  Wait 6-8 weeks for the non-chinenses.  What indoor lighting do you have?

Less.  No chinenses, so I have plenty of time to make up my list. I was thinking more like King Taco (East L.A). :mope:   I think you and oban should start an Italy Glog, or European Glog, just for fun.  I bet you'd get a lot of attention.  Just a thought.

No way.  Too high up. More, or less plants than 2015? I'm from Sierra Madre/Pasadena.  Sometimes, I miss the food.

No complaints.  Actually, we almost never go down there.  We sit above, where the photos were taken from, just outside the house.

I don't recall because it took longer than I expected to get the kettle up to temp.  It was around 2.25 hours. Sorry, already bagged up in the fridge.  I only used 2 applewood chunks, so, there wasn't a smoke ring, but, the smoke flavor was still there.  Gravy had it too, since I used the...

13lb bird, smeared with herb-butter, smoked at 350F on the Weber kettle, over applewood.          

Is there a good sub for this? I want to make anticuchos.

I intend to cook the bird on a Weber kettle.  Give me a recipe that doesn't suck, i.e., as close to an authentic recipe that my cooking hardware can handle.
