Well, this weekend saw the first of my superhots ripen. Pictured here are 7 yellow SPSRGs, 7 lemondrops, 1 Butch-T, and a couple of ghost peppers. The ghost pepper pods are comically small compared to last year, but I guess that is what happens when you have the type of growing season I've had...

  LOL! I was just looking at your pics of eating a yellow 7 when you were posting this!    I have not cut into the Butch T yet. I'm saving it for tomorrow or early next week, because I want to make a sauce up and need a few more peppers to ripen first. I'll definitely put up a quick pod review...

Great looking harvest and pod reviews! The Jay's ghost sounds really interesting, and I was surprised at how big it gets. 

  Yeah, I agree. The yellows look right but are small, while the red are the right size but they aren't yellow. Oh well. I'm really happy to be thinking about how to put together some sauces right now.    Thanks for stopping in!

  Thanks :) It was a stressful wait, but I am seeing pods hitting overdrive now and the ripening is really taking off on most of my plants. A couple still have me worried because they are so long season, but maybe we'll end up with a late fall after our late start to summer.

The pod sounds like it was a hot one. There are definitely pods that I would not put directly into meals and that are just for sauces IMO. 

You've inspired me to re-add poblanos to my grow list for next season. I can just taste them now!

Supers finally ripening!

I can't speak to storing bells. Poblanos are great if you powder them. Good choice with those, poblanos were my favourite of the non-hot varieties I grew a couple of years back. Their growing season is a bit long for me though, which is the only reason I'm not still growing them. 

First three ripened hot peppers. One bhut, and 2 not yellow 7 gigantics.   And it begins...
