I'm in the same boat as you, so this thread is really helpful! I've never started seeds before and decided to take the plunge this year. I got my little cups, a little tray, and started everything last Sunday. Now I'm just waiting...Good advice here that I will definitely be applying :) 

I chopped up my dragon cayennes and cooked them into pancakes. Delicious! Especially good with honey...

Do they send "Your item has shipped" emails or will my order just show up? I ordered yesterday and got an order confirmation, but no email stating it's shipped. Just wondering if I should email them and ask or if it's par for the course...

So, here's a question. We pulled up our tomato plants over a month ago (probably more like 2 months ago). I went out today and just by chance noticed three little seedlings (probably 5" tall) sprouting. I put them into pots and found three more little ones (probably 1", if that) so I got them...

I finally cut up and ate my first caribbean red and it was delicious.

I picked these up at the Farmers Market this weekend. I was told they were habaneros, but I just wanted to make sure before I started cutting them up for the jelly I'm making.   

Some of the stink bug pictures do look right (and there was a stink bug on one of the mottled peppers I picked last night!) - I bet that's my problem. 

Is it okay to eat? It's in the dehydrator right now with a batch of dragon cayennes. Also, should I yank up the plant or hope that some of the other peppers turn out okay?

  "Very" is an understatement! I have two of these guys in my garden and I can't use them fast enough. I've been making jelly with them (first batch had 8 peppers, second had 9 and still could've used more kick) but I can only eat so much jelly and I only know a couple people who are at all...

I plant onions and garlic down one edge of the bed and everything else in the middle - garlic and onions can stay in the ground while everything else comes out and is replaced by the summer veggies.
