    My purple jalapenos last year seemed leggier than my jalapeno m and my biker billy,even after I hardened them off. Could also be a cross as mentioned above

    Hot Cayanne

    There's a sauce called Pure Cayenne,can't remember who it's made by,but,it's a very basic sauce:cayenne,salt and vinegar. Great stuff. Another good one is Gator Hammock:Gator Sauce. Both allow the cayenne to really shine through

    Cubanelles and Corno Di Toros are really good sweet peppers. Fushimis are another good sweet pepper,really neat shape as well.

    seeds Starting seeds?

    I've always had luck with jiffy pellets. They dry out kinda quick,so,you'll have to water more often. I've also had luck starting seeds in happy frog potting soil. The key to germinating seeds IMO is getting the heat right.

    They do seem like they would be a challenging grow. Looks like I'm gonna be on the hunt for a few varieties of pubescens,as,I have never grown any. Very helpful responses guys. I really appreciate little bit of info that I've read so far
