Good luck with your satsuma seedling mine is full of flowers right now its an Okitsu Wase Satsuma and I start eating fruit between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

If I had to mess with my water I wouldn't grow them as that would be to much work for such a small ROI. I would just buy blueberries at costco like we do now when they are not in season in my garden. :)

If you can find Blueray grab one as a companion. They are the BEST !!!

Don't listen to the nursery lol I have misty southern highbush as well and trust me it will do better with a companion. This is why growers use pollinators as well for several fruit tree varieties is for the cross pollination. I hear this as well from those who have single avocado trees and no...

Also a companion variety will help for larger berries and more production on each plant. I'm just passing on information that I learned as I went along after buying my first plant.  :)

I would replant it in some acidic soil or do something like this with your existing soil. Add 4 parts organic matter, 1 part sand, 1 part perlite to existing soil. Also a wider container is better for blueberries than a taller container. I just transplanted my 10 varieties last week into 1/2...

Thinning out the fruit on my 3 peach, nectarine, plum and 2 pluot trees. They are loaded with way to many fruit. 

yuk doesn't even qualify as a taco lol. I have 2 kids who are vegans and razz them all the time. I put an  "F" in fromt of most everything they make as meat and dairy substitutes. So tacos' become Faco's- fake taco's, eggs become feggs, cheese - feese, meat- feet etc.....    :)

I grow all my blueberries in containers and just transplanted them into their final containers this week which are 1/2 wine barrels. They do really well in containers if you have bad soil for them.

if you want cheaper the only thing out there is probably walmart blue bags at .50 cents each.

Have you ever tried making your own they are great. You can also do that with your flour and corn tortillas cutting them up and frying them, YUM YUM.
