    breeding Impotence in Capsicum?

Yes,stamens without pollen. I am familiar with this happening with hybrids between C.chacoence and C.annuum. There are some that are well documented on other forums and if I get a chance, can share photos of mine. Sorry, I can't help out with the history of your hybrid or am I able to keep up...

I am not familiar with this one. CAP 1478 is a common C.rabenii. Could the numbers be mixed?

    Canedog Offseason Season 2022/23

Do you feel this is diagnostic of all frutescens or this one? The only domesticated species that I have grown that stay green are frutescens, but not all of them. And,as close as they can appear, who is to say those didnt have any annuum genetics in them. There are very small handful of wilds...

    contest Growdown Throwdown 2022

How about we throw a bunch of money at the honest Brazilian vendors and do a rare selvagem. Call it "Gringo Growdown". Whoever actually germinates a seed wins.

    misc Seed Train?

Running trains is a good way to get mixed seeds and diseases.:surprised: Since the instant gratification/what have you done for me lately explosion in this hobby/industry has come about, there is very little consideration taken when people trade or pump seeds into these trains. A growing...

plant C. eximium with white/green flowers

There are many populations of white flowered C.eximium in Bolivia. And many of them are floating around gardening circles today.

It is C.friburgense generously given to me by Chris Fowler. I'll do a big seed giveaway here in a few months.

    hybrid Are all superhots hybrids?

I could get onboard with this. Trinidadian superhots are much different in my opinion. Indians have a very different seed layout, and leaf shape is more similar to frutescens also. Not willing to die on any hill without atleast some sort of research.

    hybrid Are all superhots hybrids?

I might be missing something in this paper. When you say all superhots, are you referring to all that they knew of at the time this was written? Or is there another paper? I've skimmed the monograph and focused on areas of intetest. Today I read the key for C.chinense but I do not see where they...

Did you grow multiple plants with multiple results? I thought these seeds resulted in a hybrid? Hoping you had an accurate plant.

You are well aware that this is C.geminifolium. The laws of nomenclature are translatable.:liar

Jeez!! I aplogize for wasting your time and resources. All I had growing with those tepins were galapagoense, pubes, one baccatum and the rest were small podded plants that mostly were not capable of crossing due to chromosome numbers.

I've seen this with hybrids between C.annuum and C.chacoense.

favorite What is your favorite Baccatum Chili and why?

It was originally a competition to grow the tallest plant and after @wayright stopped participating here it was turned into most productive or heaviest yield. Shane did take the title nearly every year if I am not mistaken. Edit: Thanks! This post made me go back and flip through that thread...

Trim up some of the brown and funky limbs with disinfected pruners, repot up a container size and start feeding that plant. C.lanceolatum should be a very dark green color, almost a blue tint to it.

I'm guessing they just gave it that listing and had nothing to do with cultivation. Chile taxonomy is silly. These could be what was previously listed as C.ciliatum. Per G.E.Barboza: "Both, the colour of the fruits and the shape of the leaves are variations frequently found in C. rhomboideum...

From the monograph of the expansion of chiles written back in 2016 it lists C.rhomboideum as the common relative of all peppers and turns the previous Bolivian model and C.chacoense on it's head. Today I went back and skimmed it breifly(I'm not smart enough to,really) and looked at the Andean...
