The Fire of Nil's Indoor Jungle

I had good production at around 20-23c last year, looking forward to seeing what simulating a tropic environment will do for the grow, last year was dry 10-25% humidity (would have been 0% in winter without humidifier) and cold, this year they have ~40% humidity and 30-35c to bask in with plenty...

first super-hots grow, late start 2016

I wanted to keep a plant overwinter still producing which turned me into the indoor gardner I am now, my precious plants can live out full and happy lives (and produce tons before they kick). The cursed snow and ice times they shall not see.

The Fire of Nil's Indoor Jungle

The new COB LED panel is here and it is hugely bright, also serves as my temperature control which is something I had hoped for but it delivers just the right amount of heat from it's 660w circuit.   Pics uploaded here and to the glog gallery :D

    pests Pest I.D.

I hate fungus gnats from an annoyance standpoint. What solid7 is all true, but taking them inside is unnaceptabruh so I go straight to nuclear warfare (actually biological) before I ever bring a plant inside. What I use is BTI bacteria to kill off anything and everything arthropod.

The Fire of Nil's Indoor Jungle

So I got a bigger stronger LED to really give these guys the life, well it uses 1151w of LEDs with them being driven around 660w. Reached an unexpected perk, the grow room now sits between 86-93 degrees Fahrenheit, which is right where I wanted it about!

The deer around here will attempt to break through evn metal wire fences and eat everything regardless of flavor or toxicity. Reapers and monkshood are two notable examples. Good luck keeping yours out and with your season!

I have the same problem with wanting to love my little pepper children, just think of them as angsty teens, you just gotta give them their space. :P They do look like they are doing fine on nutes. As far as how you feed them many people do different methods and brands and home made shtuff. One...

    Guarita's Growing Log!

Super awesome! Thanks for sharing :D   Best advice for strong growth I'd have is giving them a little love and letting them do their thing... one thing that I've personally seen cause the most problems was being a bit over attentive. IE. Overfeeding, overwatering, etc. That mysterious guest...

Baby recieves "severe burns" from hot sauce, reconstructive surgery

If the child was allergic (or developed an allergy then) to capsaicin then blisters are not an uncommon side effect of a food allergy.   More aggressive to infant skin than capsaicin and more likely the culprit here would be the low pH of hot sauce, where many smaller companies bottle their...
