    Dormant or dead

Peppers don't have a "life cycle". . I've had plants that have gone almost 4 years.  Would have gone longer, but got wiped out by hurricane.

    Dormant or dead

That's odd...  I just looked at 60 days of temp data for Tampa.  I don't see anything that should have produced a deciduous effect on your plants.  . For reference, I'm almost straight across from you, on the East Coast, and this is what my plants look like right now - I literally took this...

Morons once again doing what morons do best

Amen to that. . If you don't eat your meat, you can't have any pudding.   How can you have any pudding if you don't eat your meat?

    Could use some diagnostic help...

So I was also going to suggest this, but fast tracked my answer.  I'd contact the manufacturer of the light, and ask them for specific umol values at specific heights.  Some provide it, some you have to almost beat it out of them.  I have one particular COB fixture that I found was putting out...

    Could use some diagnostic help...

Nematodes would leave gnarled up roots with bulbous growths - neither of which I see in your photo. . LEDs these days can be absolutely intense.  Much more than you'd think.  That could very well be. . Interested to see what happens.  Please keep this updated...

I actually kinda missed/glossed over this before.  Can you post pics? . That's really not something that should have happened where you're at...

Morons once again doing what morons do best

No doubt.  But it also sucks finding out that you don't have equal intelligence, equal height, equal good looks, equal Johnson size, etc.  Life gives you what it gives you, and the rest is up to you.  Everyone in this world, who isn't terminal from the get-go, is able to achieve something. ...

    Dormant or dead

You'll be fine to leave them out all season long.  Be careful not to let them dry out during the non-hurricane season, and also, don't get tempted to do a lot of feeding/fertilizing/fiddling, and you'll be fine.  I just started seeds in September, and we got a cold night in the low 40s a week...

    Could use some diagnostic help...

A lot of times, when I see that happening, I'd be checking for grubs.  But that's kind of throwing a curveball.  It's definitely not leaf curl virus.  . You're absolutely sure that it's nothing environmental?  Down here, when I grow rocotos - because they are so out of their element, they often...

Morons once again doing what morons do best

Everyone should equally get the chance to find out if education is their path.  But we, as a society, shouldn't be forcing all people down that path.  When it becomes clear that it isn't working out for some people...  have a plan B!

Morons once again doing what morons do best

Sorry, but there's no such thing as "equal" education.  Not everyone (as unfortunate as it may be) is given the same capacity to receive all things in life, equally.  And when you pretend they are, you do EVERYONE a disservice.  What's "good for all" is always "bad for some".  A perfectly...

When to start growing in Florida?

Yep.  Both the humidity and the pouring rains. What I could get away with growing in my Seattle place, was a stark contrast to what I use here.  And what worked well here, didn't work so well there. . It's pretty hard to go wrong with a mostly peat based mix, if you can't find the bark.

When to start growing in Florida?

In the time since you've posted this, I've raised a dozen or so plants up to in-ground transplants. . You won't be starting seeds outside at this time of year, even in Florida.  You will need to get them up to a size that they can handle being outdoors, even with the occasional temperature dip. ...

What color should Scotch Bonnets be..?

I have to say that my taste buds probably don't work very well...  But I can't much tell the difference.  Even Papa Dreadies which were  supposed to be all the rage...  They are all pretty much the same to me.  They all taste good, they all grow exceptionally well here, and I'd be clueless in...

indoor White powder fungi, two pepper plants indoors, any fix?

Well that's an interesting strategy.  The first thing I do when dealing with issues that involve things attached to leaves, is to actually look at the leaves, and analyze the things that are covering the leaves.  No point in pulling up the plant, when the problem is obviously on the greenery -...

You don't have mildew, powdery or otherwise. . You have a severe whitefly infestation.

overwintering First attempt at over wintering

And this bacteria and method are what, exactly?   Aphids are one of the single most prevalent pests encountered in a pepper garden.  If you know something like this, don't you think it would be valuable to share?   Nevermind.  I'm on the ignore list.

    Silicic acid

Not saying you're wrong, but environmental factors often have their say.  You can grow indoors with a heck of a lot more parametric control, than if you are resigned to relying on the elements. . My stated case: alkaline rain, and a semi-saline environment.  The salty air and deluges, definitely...

What color should Scotch Bonnets be..?

To be clear:  That's not necessarily the perfect form...  But it's the best pic I have.  They are often flatter, and wider.  But they always come out with the blossom end looking like it's being pushed/pulled through an invisible opening that's smaller than the body of the pepper.
