Ventilation.  The big difference is how you deal with the radiant heat of the 1000W HPS. In your basement it might work out to your advantage to keep the hot air in the grow room in the winter, but come summer you will have to vent outside.  Lot more fans to circulate the air is a must with HID.

  I did ask about a t-shirt and they are working up a few designs with the logo.  It is a process in that I will have to go back and approve the shirt color and logo placement before final ordering.  We will get t-shirts this year, the big question is how many and what size.

Quick update to show the growth this past week under my metal halide lamp, moving these plants to the south facing windows and potting up another round of seedlings to get under the HID over the weekend.  It was freezing here last night but supposed to be 70F here this Sunday.
