pests Anyone got a stinkbug solution in mind for this season?

These stinkbugs have showed up in Mississippi this year too, along with the brown stink bug, not very many green ones this year. The 2 week interval of spraying with neem on the interior of the plants with modified a spray wand (spray directed upward) has worked wonders on the tomato crop this...

Trying to find our common denominator

Being raised on South Louisiana food I always expected some heat, food didn't taste right unless there was cayenne in it. I discovered different and hotter chilli's while cooking Chile in cook-offs, then I found habanero's in the late 80's or early 90's, it has been a helluva roller coaster ride...

chinense Eating the Trinidad Scorpion Butch Taylorr

I don't mind the fruity taste of habs, but they have a funky aftertaste I don't care for. Real Jamaican Scotch Bonnets have the flavor & heat, are sweeter & don't have the after taste. Is anyone really eating a Trinidad Scorpion for the flavor??? lmao, "It kicked my arse, threw me on the ground...

    History of the Traveling Chile

OK I'm looking at both pods and they are either C. Annuum or C. Fruitscens, one may be C.Annuum & the other C.Fruitscens or they may both be the same, pictures of the blossoms would help.

Mosquitos, whay spray do you use?

They are a very minor nuisance to me and there are plenty where I live! I have not used a spray or cream in the last 10 years, but I eat a well balanced diet. I have noticed that people with diabetes, sickly, or on a unbalanced diet, seem to be like a lightening rod to the suckers!

shopping Buying a lightbox or making a good one

I recycled a upright freezer into a light/ sprouting box, flouros for light, heat lamp for temp control (thermostatically controlled) a small fan to keep the temp balanced, & a timer for the lights. I've been using it for 7 years now, works great, 95% recycled, and keeps my seedlings at a nice...

    misc Better production using science

There are lots of factors that determine a plants growth, soil ph, sunlight, water are 3 essential things you have to have for your fertilization method to even start to work. The biggest thing that most gardeners in my region miss is the importance of trace minerals in the growth of plants...

    THE WAR HAS BEGUN!!!

The flea beetles usually leave my peppers alone, but they are hell on legs after the eggplant's. I wonder if its a different critter? The ones on the eggplants dissappear after a neem application, of course they will be back in 2 weeks, wanting some more neem :mouthonfire: lol
