Wierd browning/yellowing of Carolina Reaper leaves

Are you fertilizing it? It looks like it could be nitrogen deficient. The pods look quite small and the plant is probably pulling the nitrogen out of the lower leaves (yellowing) to feed the new growth.

What's the best way to keep the weeds away?

Landscape fabric. Get the needle punch kind, not the spunbound cheep stuff. It looks like grass seed bags. I do100- 300' rows with it. Never have to pick weeds except where I burn the hole for the plants.

I have a srtsl that is setting yellow pods. They are growing the same as the regular reds. Are these off colors common and would it be worth while to grow it out next year? I'll post pics tomorrow.

Texas Indoor Grow (First Time Growing)

By the looks of your plants it appears to me it is a issue with nutrient lock-up due to ph. Soil peppers like 6.3-6.8 range ph. If you go straight hydro try to keep ph 5.5-6 if possible.

seeds Not getting a straight answer from the web-Frozen seeds

Not sure about peppers but a majority of seeds have a dormancy time built into them. The correct terminology to search for is cold stratification. Dry for a few days then in a refrigerator from 30-90 days for woody plants.

    indoor plant spacing indoors

Almost all fluorescents have to be right over the tops of plants to grow. The plants will do fine in lowering the lights and just be sure to have good air exchange and direct fan circulation with the density of the canopy. Exchange should be room volume every 5-10 mins.

hydroponic From growing in the ground to hydro

Well yes it is overwintering, taking them out of the ground to be grown Indoors "over winter" I have a 4000 watts worth of hid lights and a heated grow room to put them in. Tonight's lows are supposed to break into the 30's so this is more of a need to rather than a well planned move. I did...

hydroponic From growing in the ground to hydro

Do ground grown peppers overwinter well in hydro/bato buckets or are grow bags a better choice?
