Gotta agree on the dulce. I picked my first ripe pod as soon as it changed color completely. It was just kind of sour and had a bit of heat to it. Not much, maybe a quarter to half the heat of a Thai or Cayenne for mine. I didn't taste any sweetness. I'm leaving the rest on at least a week after...

    pests Need help identifying pests

You may want to try moving the phone back just a bit next time. Mine has a hard time focusing on close up objects. A lot of people have also used loupes or small magnifying lenses to take macro shots if needed.

I've been a silent observer of this glog so far, but everything's looking great. I'll go with 215

What keyboard key do you hate the most?

On an actual keyboard, I hate Insert when coding. I don't really notice it any other time. As for my phone, period because I hit it instead of space so often because I don't look at the keyboard when typing so I'm a little off at times.

    Why will it not grow?

My plants seemed to develop what looked to me like bls from the constant, heavy rains that we were having about a month back. I pulled the bad looking leaves off out of paranoia and the spots usually don't resurface until the next downpour.

Maybe it's an issue of aeration/compaction? I don't see perlite or similar listed in either.

My plant is basically a twig that will most likely not produce, but you better watch out for it next season!

Yeah, those "experts" are just on to you. They know you have too good of a chance at beating them out. Gotta stick to the regiment of gasoline with the occasional sprinkle of paint chips

health Ghost Pepper Leaves w/ Black Spots

Subpar growing media can compact over time. Besides, I've grown plants bigger than that in unammended clay cut with maybe a quarter of a small bag of top soil. Just because it gets that big doesn't necessarily mean that the media is good. Imo it was probably fine, but got compacted over time...

That seems like a good time to pick. Worst case, it'll ripen more off the plant if you do pick too early. I leave mine on for around a week after getting ripe usually if I'm saving seeds, but otherwise it'd be good to pick at that point. I've read that peppers hit peak heat before ripening...

    Thin-walled peppers

I wouldn't think that'd necessarily take all the heat away. It could also if course be crossed again with superhots now with that thicc wall DNA in the mix. (I have no clue how crossing really works, but that's how it goes in my mind)

So I never had any luck with using cut up blinds as plant tags. No matter what I tried, everything seemed to just rub or rinse right off. I also didn't want to invest in metal tags, so I came up with a cheaper solution. It also avoids any runoff of nail polish for those who use that method to...

    Rats eating my corn

So I read something about beer bloating and killing rats, so I decided to Google and fact check it and I came across this. Good read that I thought you might be interested in. http://janetphillips.blogspot.com/2011/09/rat-attack-what-to-do-and-what-not-to.html?m=1
