I have both plants growing the first is a Black Scorpion Tongue and the 2 after are Black Pearls, Bleak Pearls eventually turn red if you leave em on the plant long enough and the Scorpions do produce red pods from time to time.
I wonder how no till would work here in FL with all the invasive grasses and trees, sandy soil and year round growing season? Just try to stop Torpedo Grass(without digging), its main runners are 6-12 inches underground then they shoot up right next to my plants. Then there's the trees, shallow...
I'm thinking its time to move my plants into partial shade and mix some serious nitrogen in with em, make em stretch toward the sky......Those are some bad assed plants there Shane!
My potted plants seem to love my prepped areas of ground, Granted I mix mulch, compost and cooked soil in with the regular Florida sandy soil, 2 tah 3 weeks after the transplant they just take off. The pain is all the invasive grasses that like my soil prep as well.....Bigger pots is the way to go.
They don't look too bad I'd say your loving them too much back off the Nutrients just use water and only after they droop. I don't add nuts from months on end with very little problems.
