If you post it they will come! We all like looking at peoples pictures man, with blogs in particular, we enjoy getting into the story of how your plants progressed, and how you felt about what was going on with your grow every step of the way, everyone can learn from a glog, even if they learn...
I can't believe what I'm hearing here! Where's all this hate for the cayenne coming from! I don't know what any of y'all consider regular cayenne, I know there are dozens of cayenne types. I can tell you that my first experience with hot peppers is when I lived in new Orleans as a child (well...
No worries! sulfur works as an anti microbial so be careful though! Yes though some say 6.5-7, but I have a friend who was a soil science major at A&T and he said 7-7.5 was perfect for most veggies one would try to grow in a home garden, so that was good enough for me!
yes, just sprinkle around the edge of the container or a few inches away from the stemin the ground and water in, this will be much more effective in containers, but does help a bit for in ground as well, but 7-7.5 is perfect range for optimal nutrient uptake except iron, and lime is to raise...
Our temps been 90-95 during the day 70-75 at night and I water every day unless it rains, cuz my plants are in the major growth stage they're using up water like crazy! Not to mention its hot as hell :D
location, no, however, all the other factors do have an effect on taste, heat, humidity, soil, fertilizers, etc. Also, stress factors into the heat level, if u like very hot peppers, it helps to learn to stress them a bit w/o going crazy!
First is the vermiculite fine or coarse?
Second what size are the coco coir bricks?
The compost and the manure and the perlite are great, a little lime for calcium and to keep the pH balanced.mycorhizae is always a good choice. If the vermiculite is coarse, use it, if the coir is not too big use...
What do you mean? Why would we complain about 95-105 degree temps w/ 85-95% humidity? Why would we complain about getting covered in sweat walking from the back door to the garden 15-20 ft away?why would we complain about having to water twice a day if it doesn't rain, or worry about shading...
thats awesome brotha! its so neat to get seeds from different places in the world, as cool as many of the seed merchants are its still neat to pickup seeds from new places, straight from their homes!
Well thanks to Gary(windchicken) I am a true lover of the Congo Trinidad! They are huge roundish pods that have decently thick skin, they are juicy, have a wonderful fruity flavor and a great heat that makes them condusive to almost all your Chile applications, cooking, eating fresh, sauce...
Are you sure it has stopped fermenting or just stopped bubbling? Ive found a lot of times since I started using an airlock, that the ferment doesn't release enough CO2 To make the bubbler bubble all the time only some of the time. Check the mash, is it still bubbling, rising? Good luck
I think Jamie probably deserves his own
Thread here, I've known him for 3 yrs now and he has sent me many pkgs of fresh pods and samples of his powders and seeds from varieties I have wanted. It always makes me happy when I find something to send him that he likes because he never really asks...

Looking Great Cappy! Good to see you back, I was thinking of doing something similar here in NC, its so depressing having to start over every year, cloning would be a perfect way to start with already mature plants every year!
