Found a guy selling a SS Brewtech 10 gal Infusion Mash Tun on FB. Has the heater, controller, sparge arm included for $275. Brand new all of that is $550 before tax/shipping.
It's going to make kettle souring a piece of cake.
Acetaldehyde, DMS, Diacetyl, Lightstruck, Trans-2-Nonenal, and Infection are the ones this class will cover.
I'm fairly sure I can identify most of them, but it will be nice to have them isolated and know for SURE what they taste like.
Going to a Cicerone's Off flavor class this afternoon. I've been wanting to do one for awhile. Only $35 to do it and it'll be at Side Project so I'll get some good beer afterwards too lol.
It will be nice to be able to identify problems in my own beer when they arise.
Smoking a couple of shoulders for tailgating tomorrow. Hopefully the timing works out where these will be about done when we leave in the morning. I'll wrap them up, head to Champaign, IL and tear um up.
