    How to smoke salt?

Well, how did it turn out? I was waiting for someone to chime in but it hasn't been too active today. I know I've seen quite a few smoked salt threads in the past, did you end up referencing any of them?

shopping Best Price/Place to buy Coco Noir/Peat

My inner Gator Fan doesn't want to help you, but we're all pepper heads here. First off, unless you're looking for a dimly lit coconut murder mystery, then I believe you want coco COIR not noir lol. Secondly, most gardening supply places should have bales of either coir or peat. Peat bales start...

    tutorial Making Hot Sauce 101

From earlier posts, it very well could be. Depends on the sauce color as well as litmus paper colors. Which meters have you used? If you're frequently making sauces, maybe search the forum for better quality meters? I can't remember the name of the one I've seen frequently used around here, but...

    Aji Peruvian Pod Test

Very cool. My red Aji and pineapple Aji plants are killing it this year. My red looks very similar to your Peruvian as far as plant growth and structure. Pods look slightly different though. So yours go through that mustardy brownish phase right before turning red as well? Most other reds I've...

    Aji Peruvian Pod Test

Aren't most Aji varieties Peruvian? Just curious, didn't know this was something other than Aji Rojo. If it is different, I gotta try it out next year. Aji's grow wonderfully for me every year down here

Help Me Figure Out What I have Happening

No worries man, it'll happen. Just be sure to not over water, and only water at the base unless you're doing a foliar feed spray. Down here the leaves will wilt every day, then perk back up at night. So I know to water when the leaves aren't perky at sunrise.

    preservation pepper vinegar

Just made some a couple days ago with frozen datils, a big clove of garlic and room temp white vinegar. The broken down walls of the frozen peppers really kicked it into gear quick, can't wait to see what age does for it.

If only the heat would back off a touch and we could get some showers every now and then, it'd be perfect! Finally added a little shade cloth and Alaska fish fert to the garden, the plants are kicking flowers out again like crazy. Hoping they set so I can avoid a summer stall.

    Tommys South Texas Glog 16

Alright so a couple things from the past two days. Separated pods in the freezer and weighed out. 8.8lbs so far. Also made a datil vinegar and a hot sauce that I forgot to take pictures of. Both turned out great, the sauce is delicious but a little thicker than I was aiming for. Still not bad...

    Chocolate Hellfire Hot Sauce

There are a few folks here with a little better knowedge on that type of thing than me. But if you check out the hot sauce 101 thread, you'll see that if you have a low enough ph and a consistency inline with woozy bottles, canning isn't quite necessary. The hot fill/hold method seems to be...
